Cake vs. Cupcakes

I'm still trying to decide

I like both but prefer cake because it's easier to eat.

@Rashida - having something different for the BP to eat, and serving something else to everyone else is rude

As a guest I think either are fine. But I used to work in a bakery and I know wedding cupcakes stressed out the decorator so badly because she was so intent on making each one perfect and the icing lines/decor identical. So I'm going cake

We're doing a small cake and then a dessert bar. Mini cupcakes, truffles, macarons, mini pies, and parfaits. I love the displays and I love that people can have more than one thing. While large tiered cakes are gorgeous, it's just not really us.

The best wedding I've ever been to only had cupcakes for the guests and a small cake for the couple. Picking from the variety was a part of the fun, and I felt like it was a great consideration to the varying tastes of guests. They were delicious and moist. I may have had more than one, but this is a no judgment zone. If you get them from a quality bakery, you'll be fine.
