BYOB Venue near Atlanta

Alaina, on December 28, 2015 at 9:24 AM Posted in Planning 1 20

I just got recently engaged and was looking for a cheap venue that was nice and spacious enough to be comfortable for 125 guests. It can be near Atlanta or any surrounding areas. Also has to be somewhere that allows bringing own alcohol in and etc.

What's your definition of cheap? Depending on that, then you can start looking at some venues! The suburbs will probably be your best bet. There's some really great ones in Woodstock, Roswell, and Duluth that seemed reasonably priced when we were looking - not sure about the alcohol though.

There are not many that allow BYOB but a few that fit the bill: callanwolde, wimbish house, Chastain horse park, and the Trolley Barn are the ones I know of. It is a big cost savings from what I've heard!

It just depends as long as I can bring my own liquor and catering and its spacious that is all that matters!

These lists may be a good place to start!

If you find one you like, just inquire and ask them about it straight up. Some venues may allow you to bring your own caterer for a small fee too.

Whats your budget. There are lots of places that will allow you to bring your own alcohol. The catering will be a little tricky.

$8000 for the whole wedding or just for the venue and the food?

I'm not sure the style you are looking for. This place is beautiful. You can use outside vendors but they have to be license and insured.

The Historic Roberts-Mozley House- I believe they are only $300 for four hours.

Also, I would try the Taylor- Brawner House in Smyrna.

$8000 for venue should be very doable.

Check out The Stanley House in Marietta. I'm not sure if they allow you to bring in your own caterer, but I know they REQUIRE you to bring in your own alcohol. Good luck!

Alaina - give them a call; I believe it will depend on time of year you want to get married. Most places charge a little more for popular times like Spring and Fall. But my friend got married recently there (Chastain 140 ppl) and she said it was VERY reasonable. Definitely under $8K. Not even the Fox or Piedmont Park are that much, and aside, from Atlanta History Ctr are most expensive venue rentals I know of.

Roswell Historic Cottage allows you to BYOB, you just have to use licensed bartenders/caterers for liability purposes!
