byo Catering Venue in nj

Jamilah, on August 7, 2020 at 10:07 AM Posted in New Jersey Planning 2 6

Hi Everyone!

I just got engaged about two weeks ago and am struggling to find a venue I am looking for and hoping you all can help! We are flexible with the date of the wedding but thinking August or September of 2021.

Looking for a venue really anywhere in New Jersey that allows you to byo catering but also does not have a 10k plus rental fee. I am totally fine with having to decorate and rent everything myself just need a nice venue that doesnt break the bank. The big catch is that we are planning on having about 200 guest.

We have been looking at Airbnb rentals, barns, gardens etc, would love to have it outside but at this point I am open to anything.

Thanks!

Jamilah

Hi Jamilah! Art Factory Studios in Paterson is a huge space and they allow BYO catering! There's also the Women's Civic Club of Stone Harbor which sounds like it checks all of your boxes, and the Atrium of Tenafly.

Women's Clubs are also a good bet for a venue space that allows outside catering! (Like The Glen Ridge Women's Club, Maplewood Women's Club, Montclair Women's Club, etc.)

Before we downsized for our September 2020 wedding (due to the pandemic) we booked at Palmyra Harbour Clubhouse. It's a waterfront venue with outdoor & indoor ceremony options. You can bring your own caterer. A d fhey are super nice. For 9 hours & bridal suite we were paying $2700 (plus $400 refundable security deposit)

Best way to reach them is call. They are super nice! When we told them about downsizing they didn't hesitate to get is our despoit and everything back no issues.
The space is a good size space. My caterer said it would comfortably hold 120 people.

    Hi Pema-

I know how stressful this is so hopefully this helps! I am getting married at Factory 220 in Passaic, NJ but I think they may be transitioning to requiring a preferred vendor list. But I absolutely loved 18 Label Studio and Annex in Montclair, NJ I would definitely check it out. We would have gotten married here but were worried our wedding would end up being a little more than 200 guest. If you are okay with not getting married in NJ GoggleWorks in Reading, Pennsylvania is absolutely gorgeous. Lastly the pricing is good at The Atrium of Tenafly in Tenafly, NJ.

    Hope this helps!
