Button-up Shirts (for the day of the wedding)

Christina, on August 3, 2012 at 3:54 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

Hi All!

I'm trying to find a cute button up shirt for my MOH & I to wear the day of the wedding while getting my hair & makeup done. I had seen a bride that had one, but I can't remember who it was. :o(

I would LOVE to find something is monogrammed.

I've looked at Land's end, LL Bean, Penny's, Macy's, just typed Monogrammed button up shirt into Google & I can't seem to find anything cute.

I'm open to suggestions at this point.

Also, brides, what did you wear the day of the wedding/what will you be wearing? My dress has to go over my head and I don't want to mess up my hair.

Thanks!

I dunno about shirts, but I know some ladies have found robes for pretty cheap. Cottonage.com has some blue ones that are $5, with the option to put a monogram on it.

You could also look at stores (Sears, JCP, Dillards -- the Clearance Center if you have one) and take it to one of the embroidery mall kiosks.

I'm getting a purple robe from Wal-Mart to wear.

You could always find a cute shirt and get it monogrammed, or buy iron-on bride and maid of honour things at your local Michaels.

Unfortunately I have to find something buttoned up, because I won't be able to get it over my head without messing up my hair. Smiley sad

TY for the ideas. I can't do robes because we have to leave the hotel to get our hair done (my hair stylist doesn't travel..and if he didn't I don't want to know the price).

I think it would be a lot more fun to just buy a mens button up shirt and decorate it yourself. Have some fun with it and make it special. Maybe you could even make them together.

Hi Christina, you should check out this website:

I used them to get a track suit for my wedding day. They are customizable. Good Luck.

I bought my girls and I robes from Kohl's then took them to a local embroidery place and had their first initial embroidered on them.
