Busty Ladies - i Need Your Help

Emly, on July 30, 2019 at 10:36 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

First I want to start off by saying - yes I know my bridesmaids are the only ones who will truly be able to tell me how they think the dress will work for them. BUT these girls (bless them) can drive me nuts sometimes and just insist that whatever I want they will love.. They don't tell me if they will be comfortable in something or not, and that's honestly my main concern is for them to be comfortable and confident.

I originally gave them the option to choose whatever dress they want, just stick to the color I asked for. They found this overwhelming and just want me to chose the dress for them.. Ok fine, BUT they are both very busty and I lack severely in that department Smiley xd so a dress that I would love to see them in might not work.. I have gone though and picked a few that I really do love but am worried as I have no clue how to dress their body type.

Before I suggest the few choices that I love to them I would like to get opinion from those of you who are more well endowed then I am. kj

I would definitely avoid option 1. It's beautiful, but doesn't allow for really any kind of bra. Any of the other options would work, but as a busty girl myself, I would be most comfortable in 4 or 5.

I like them all and actually have the same list of dresses saved for myself/ Bridesmaids Smiley xd I am a 40C/38D and would wear them all! The only issue with #1 is that you cant really hide a bra.

I will tell you one of my bridesmaids chose your fourth pick (Azazie Calla) and it looked great on her, and kept everything in.. if you know what I mean.

I also think that your fifth pick (Azazie Molly) and second pick (Azazie Inga) would be supportive in the way you are looking for.

    Good luck!

I think either the Tegan or Molly...I have a larger chest and avoid dresses that might give too much cleavage

I would def go with the second and fifth pick. I am quite busty myself and I think those two dresses will offer the most coverage and support throughout the night.

My MOH is well endowed in the bust and is going for Azazie Angie, that's a short dress but I'm sure there's a long version by Azazie too.
I'm not even that big and would want something I could slide a bra under.

Flora is the longer version Id use for a bustier person. It looks like it comes in the similar color.

Daughter is a 36DD and considers herself "busty." After having to wear a couple of BM dresses over the years that she couldn't wear a regular bra with, her primary requirement for her girls' dresses was that they could wear a regular bra if they wanted to. She chose Azazie's Keyla. It was super flattering on all her BM's who ranged from a 6' tall size 6 to an under 5' size 18. We heard tons of compliments on how pretty and flattering the dresses were. "Busty" can have lots of different interpretations. (Daughter's thinnest BM would be considered busty, but so would the two BMs who are each moms to multiple young children and bit heavier overall.) I'd think about how your BM's tend to dress themselves. Do they wear a lot of spaghetti strap dresses & tops? If so, then they'll probably do fine with any of your options. If they tend toward clothing with wider shoulder straps, I'd consider that a hint about what they are more comfortable in. It's awesome that you're trying to be so considerate! Smiley heart

4th and 3rd picks are going to be your best options for ladies that are well endowed. It will allow more for a bra and has pretty good coverage. The designs with the lower v necklines will show a lot of cleavage. And the open backs dont allow for any kind of undergarments to support them.

Just some personal-ish experience: my MOH is pretty well-endowed, and the Tegan was in the running for her, but she ultimately went with the Jael. One of my bridesmaids who's less-endowed went with the Blake, and although it looks amazing on her, I don't think it'd hold up so well for my MOH.

Definitely give your BMs the fifth pick as one of their options if they want more coverage!

I'd say as long as it's not really low in the back or front anything will work. It can be difficult to find a strapless bra that holds you up and in that works with a low top dress. I am a 40 D/DD so if I were picking one of those dresses I'd go with one of the last 2 or maybe the second one.

Just make sure the dress you pick allows them to wear a bra!

For a busty girl, I would choose Molly.

Also, side note... for the Blake... one of my bridesmaids just tried to order it and they were out of a lot of sizes. It did not tell her that until she went to checkout and she had to completely start over looking for a new dress. I believe she was specifically trying to order a 6. She then was going to size up to an 8 and have it altered, but they were also out of 8's.

As a busty girl myself, I would opt for 4 or 5 because I could easily wear a bra with them. Something you could do though is pick your top two and order them for your girls to try on and pick which one they are most comfortable in. It is $10 per dress I believe on azazie
