Bustle Options.... Help Please!!

Kim, on April 20, 2020 at 7:01 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
I was told by one alterations specialist that I can only do a simple over-bustle in order to not lose the detail of my dress, but I'm not sure how I feel about a one point over-bustle, especially not over or right under my rear end lol. I was leaning towards a lower, multi-point bustle. I posted a pic of the back of my dress below. Can you ladies please help me with understanding what my bustle options are? Pics and advice much appreciated!! TIA! Bustle Options.... Help Please!! 1

Wow!! You're dress is gorgeous!! I absolutely love it!! I actually don't think a one point bustle would look bad if she does it right in the middle, it would be right under your butt, lol!! but it would fold over on the sides and I do agree with the seamstress it would help save the detail of the dress... If she does put a one point bustle in, it will be easy to take the stitch out, so she should be able to show you what it's going to look like and you can change it to something else If you don't like the way it looks. Have you heard of a French bustle?? Those are very pretty, but I don't know how it would look on your specific dress.. No matter what you choose I'm sure it's going to look beautiful!! Congratulations and good luck to you!!

Former bridal consultant here! 🙋🏽‍♀️ Your seamstress is recommending a single point bustle?? They should DEFINETELY be able to do multiple points, I would say atleast 3 buttons. Is your inner layer tacked to your train or are they separate? This may cause you to have two bustles, one internally & one on the outside typically bustles do meet right under the booty lol. Depending your seamstress might be able to do a single French Bustle which is underneath your dress and consists of trying two ribbons together - I would recommend this one if you don't want buttons near the booty!

Thank you!!!❤️ Yeah, maybe I just need to see it lol... I've seen a few French bustles, but I'm not sure how it would translate to my dress either 🤔.... Oh well hopefully I'll like the one point bustle!

OMG! I love both of these! I believe it's not attached. It's at the alterations shop right now. So I can't check, but I'm pretty sure it's separate. I'm going to show her both of these! Thank you!
