Personally, I think it would be best to speak to a seamstress about bustling your dress and the different options available.

Do you have a seamstress you’re already working with that you could talk to?

I am still looking for a good seamstress, because I bought it second hand (much cheaper and most of all of them look brand new).

Do you have a similar train? I put mine on and walked around with it. It will be a bit annoying to keep it down for the whole reception, specially because I will want to dance. Besides, the lace is delicate and may be damaged.

I have a very similar dress style that’s sleek satiny fabric with a lace train. I recently did my first fitting and went in today to learn the bustle. Our plan was to do an American bustle (plus two French bustle points to keep the under layers off the ground) because I wanted to show off the lace. However, the bustle points are very visible on the dress. The other option is a full French bustle, but that hides most of the lace. It’s so sad because the lace train was a major selling point for me!!!
