Hello I'm megan, my fiance and I are eloping in hawaii November 6th,2020. I'm over the moon about it all but here recently have been stressing myself out about the budget and what we should spend good chunks on and what not to.. I want to be able to go to Hawaii and enjoy our time and not worry if we will have enough money for what we want to do but at the same time I want us to still have a savings AFTER our wedding is all said and done. Am I crazy for stressing over all this?

No, it's important to remember that you will still have a life and things to pay for outside of your wedding. To come up with our budget, we decided how much we felt comfortable spending out of our current savings, then figured out how much we could realistically save each month and multiplied it by the number of months until the wedding.
As far as what you should splurge on and what you shouldn't, decide what your top three priorities are for your wedding. Food? Photography? Decor? Splurge on those items and try to cut back on others.

Hi there, Megan! I can totally understand why you’re stressed.
Is it just the two of you going to Hawaii? If so, you’re already making a large saving by not having guests.
As Caytlyn advised, you and your FS should sit down and see how much you are willing to spend on the trip, set up a savings plan, etc. Having a plan will alleviate a lot of stress! You can then begin working toward your saving goal and enjoy the trip without any money worries

Thankyou! So far I havnt been as stressed as I was. It will just be the two of us and everything is working out with our budget considering I over budgeted and everything has been UNDER. Its crazy.
