Budget wedding in AZ,,, HELP!

sierra584, on September 8, 2015 at 10:19 AM Posted in Planning 0 7

Hi all! My name is Sierra and my Fiance and I currently live in Boston and are trying to plan a wedding back home in AZ (PHX/Sedona area). We are trying to keep it on a budget and are expecting about 80 guests. I've emailed a handful of vendors about pricing and they want to set up meeting or have me attend a open house. I work and live in Boston .... We are aiming for fall of 2016 and want something outdoors maybe rustic, maybe classy, I'm so indecisive. HELP : )

I am having an outdoor rustic wedding as well Smiley smile If you want it outside does any family have land or a big enough backyard to help? (if that's the look your going for). I called a lot of vendors and talked with them about what our budget was and what we wanted and finally found one that has everything we wanted. It takes time and a lot patience but, we got exactly what we wanted and at the price we wanted. We also have a lot of DIY stuff. There are wedding resale/yard sale/consignment pages on Facebook that I was able to get a lot of the things we needed for more than half the price. I am a thrifty person and our wedding is on a tight budget so I was willing to do a lot of the DIY stuff to keep the budget were I wanted it. You can find a lot of rustic ideas on Etsy and on Ebay (make sure you buy from USA, china is not very reliable). Good luck!!! Smiley smile

What is your budget? I'm in Phoenix so may be able to help but that's hard to do without knowing what you're looking to spend on a venue.

Amanda, Where are you getting married? I have the same budget, and I found a venue more up north! look up Tonto Creek Camp and Christopher Creek lodge. Might be a good start.

Welcome to WeddingWire @sierra! Do your vendor searches in the WW vendor catalog! Many of the pros list their prices right on their WW page under 'FAQ & Pricing,' which makes it super easy to do your research and make comparisons.

Have you found a venue yet? That's what you'll want to get down first!

Hi Sierra, what a coincidence, FH and I moved from Boston to AZ two years ago and will be getting married here in PHX in the spring. I was able to get pricing from venues without having to visit, in fact my I have an email folder full of venue pricing. So don't stop asking venues! The venue list here on wedding wire is super helpful! Best of luck

Hi Sierra, I'm also in the Phoenix area trying to plan a budget wedding between 10-12k, We live in Gilbert and have access to The Barn at Power Ranch (the subdivision that we live in). I found it accidentally as a matter of fact, but it's beautiful...and inexpensive. $100/hr, you can bring your own caterers, host your own bar, etc. The rent also includes 200 chairs and 30 tables. We're going to get married on the lawn surrounded by water, cocktail hour on the patio and dinner and dancing inside. You have to be a resident to rent this....but with so many planned developments in the Phoenix area, you might have some family that could have a similar venue and not even realize it.
