Budget catering ideas?

Sarah, on April 5, 2017 at 8:52 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

My original catering fell through so I'm looking for last minute catering ideas on a budget. I was considering a barbecue place or possibly sandwiches from a Publix deli? I just have no clue. This is a backyard picnic kind of wedding with probably 120 guests. Any suggestions?

Burgers and salads? You can have some grills brought over and have an uncle or someone help out with grilling.

No no no to Kelsey's suggestion. Please don't self cater or make your family work at your wedding.

    BBQ is a perfect idea.

I don't have much help at all so anything more than simply setting it out is out of the question without hired help.

Hire a BBQ place. Affordable, safe and professional.

Ok, definitely don't cook burgers for 120 people.

BBQ is a good thing to look into or possibly a local Mexican or Italian restaurant.

You're in Nashville, right? Don't go to Publix! You are in one of the great, cheap BBQ cities in the country! Call Slow and Low - they can do a BBQ bar with pulled chicken. 2 sides, buns and sauce for $8/pp and you can add pulled pork, brisket or ribs to that for just an extra $2/pp. So affordable and so good!

Catered bbq sounds like a perfect option for you! Cheap, and perfect for a backyard reception!

BBQ sounds great! Glad you won't be cooking burgers in your backyard - none of your friends/family want to work on your wedding day.

BBQ, Italian, and Mexican are usually budget friendly catering options.
