bubbles?

Now Mrs. B. <3, on July 20, 2010 at 9:25 PM Posted in Planning 0 17

Anybody else here having an outdoor wedding and considering using bubbles? I wanted to have people blow bubbles but I know this is usually something that is done when the couple is walking out of the church or venue they were married in. My FMI and I were thinking maybe we could have people blow bubbles after we are pronounced husband and wife as were walking back down the isle? Anybody else have any ideas for an outdoor wedding?

I also think its a great idea!!! A lot of websites sell really cute little bubble sets that you can buy in bulk. I definitley think its appropriate for an outdoor wedding. You can have someone in your bridal party or family "lead the way" with the bubbles so that everyone else knows its time! I think it would be perfect as your walking down the aisle at the end as husband and wife. good luck!

That's a cute idea. I would suggest getting a childs bubble gun or a bubble machine. Everytime I am at a wedding with bubbles no one seems to blow them. Kinda sucks to waste the money on them.

I thought of the bubbles as well, but at my sister's wedding they didn't turn out so well (I think she just got a batch of bubbles that weren't too bubbly...). We are pretty sure that we will do rose petals as we are recessing down the aisle. We had thought of biodegradable confetti, but weren't too sure if the venue would approve. Plus we are already purchasing rose petals for the aisle, so we will have plenty left over for guests to toss.

Maybe it depends on the bubble thingy you get, I would suspect that the larger bottle (as oppose to the tubes) would be better but IDK. Has anyone else notices a difference in bubble production based on bubble bottle/tube?

I was thinking of getting the clear tubes with the wedding knot on top and tying a ribbon on. I just think they look nicer. My cousin had these at his wedding and they seemed okay but I've never tried anything else

I know my sis got hers from oriental trader...while they were cheap they didn't really work...plus they were really hard to get open, I almost spilled mine on my pretty BM dress. I would def read reviews about ones you find before you buy, or hopefully some other ladies here can lead in the right direction for quality bubbles!

We're doing the same thing--having our guests blow bubbles as we walk back up the aisle after being pronounced husband and wife. We're def. using the Wilton ones from JoAnns and Michaels. I've heard good things about them. I've heard really bad things about the ones at Wal-Mart.

If you want bubbles you should go with bubbles. Sounds like it would be nice.

Here is what I am doing, except I am using a green ribbon. I think the bigger bottle will equal a large bubble stick hole thing so maybe the bubbles will be more successful. You could decorate these bottles pretty much anyway you want to.

We are doing the same thing except we are giving bubbles when we walk back down the isle and when we leave the venue we are having them ring bells. I think it's a good idea and something fun for the kids,(you know how kids like to make noise).
