Brunch wedding timeline

FutureMrsAF, on February 21, 2017 at 4:00 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 3 8

Does this sound okay?

11am - ceremony

11:30am -photos/cocktail hour

12:30- brunch is served

2:00- cake cutting/toasts

2-4pm-mingling/eat cake

4pm- party over

Help me make sure I'm not forgetting anything! Prior to the ceremony of course I'll be up getting ready at like 6, I just didn't include it in the schedule.

One thing I considered skipping was photos/cocktail hour and doing family photos afterward, so people wouldn't be like it's 12:30 it's lunchtime not brunch! Lol. If we pushed photos back we could move up brunch service to 11:30 which is a more "brunchy" time, what you do think?

Sounds pretty much like all of our early weddings. You can still serve brunchy food at 12:30, for sure!

I am considering doing brunch as well to cast costs, I might add a few things to the package just to have some "meat" .. I love your timeline.

@paula, not to discourage you because I'm really excited to do brunch but as far as savings go I am really only saving maybe $500 compared to the dinner so it's not a huge savings. Though every area/venue is different and you might have better luck. We picked brunch because it seems fun, and we want the wedding to be fairly casual.

Yes, I actually sat down to add up costs today ... boy oh boy! How does these things come up so huge!?

Anyway, I agree with you, brunch does sound fun so I'm not ditching the idea yet Smiley smile

That's very similar to my timeline. Everything is just a half hour later for me. I think it's fine to serve brunch at that time.

The venue i'm considering has brunch for $50 compared to me paying $109 per person. Now our list is way smaller but if we went with our 200 guest list we'd be spending 21,800 compared to 10,000. Different states and venues are gonna have different prices. Some places it might be a small difference
