Brunch wedding menu

Amber, on January 12, 2017 at 1:01 PM Posted in Planning 1 16

FW and I are having a Sunday Brunch themed wedding. The only issues we are running into is trying to figure out the menu. What brunch foods have you guys eaten?? What do you always have to have at a brunch, whether it's food or drinks. We want chicken and waffles, mimosas and bloody marys FOR SURE. But other than that, we are at a loss. Thank you in advance!!

Bacon is required in my mind. But Wendy shows a good choice. I would Have a couple lunch foods for those who don't like breakfast BC I know people who don't but that is my people.

I'm doing chicken and waffles! We are also having crustless quiche for my low-carb guests. So exciting, best wishes!

I'm actually doing my rehearsal with brunch, I asked what people would most prefer and our five entree choices are:

    Oven-baked Frittata

    Fruit-Stuffed French Toast

    Thai Chicken Salad

    Southern Style Crab Cake Sandwich

    Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich

Personally with brunch I am all about potatoes/hash browns.

    YAY BRUNCH WEDDINGS.

Chicken and waffles are my favorite. Yum yum yum.

We did a brunch wedding, so I can share our menu:

Drinks: Beer, wine, mimosa, bellinis, Irish Coffee, bloody Mary's, special tea (I was so sick and had spiked tea most of the morning).

Food: Yogurt, granola, and berry parfaits and bruschetta for apps, summer salad with watermelon for a salad, choice of breakfast pizza or steak and eggs (we also accommodated our vegetarian guests and gluten free guests and they had their own menu), and then cake!

I REALLY wanted a bottomless brunch, but we couldn't afford it Smiley sad.

Chicken and waffles could make great apps! I also wanted the following:

    Donut holes

    Crepes

    Eggs benedict

Muffins (can you tell I love carbs yet?)

    Quiche

    Waffles

    Some fabulous bacon dish

We're doing a mashed potato bar and a sushi station in addition to our brunch menu: bagels, omelettes, pasta with vodka sauce, lemon chicken, bacon, sausage, and a bunch of other things.. and open bar including a mimosa fountain

We LOVE brunch weddings! Our engagement party was actually a brunch bash :-)

We had an open bar with bellinis, mimosas, bloody marys and an alcoholic punch of sort (restaurant ownder surprised us with it).

We had half hour of passed hors d'oeuvres: Truffled Brie Crostini

Prosciutto & Figs and Mini Risotto Fritters.

    Stations:

    Salad Station- Caesar Salad

    Pasta Station- Butternut Squash Gnocchi

Egg Station- Scrambled Egg White, with Spinach, Goat Cheese and Mushroom

    Flatbread Station- Prosciutto Flatbread

Sweet Station- Fresh Fruits & Marscapone Crêpes

Sides- Home Fries & Crispy Bacon

    Dessert- Special Occasion Cake

*This was a 4 hour party*

Eggs are what make it brunch and not lunch to me, so be sure to include them in some form. Just scrambled are great, or maybe omelets, a frittata, a benedict...

    mmm... eggs.

    Also, bacon!

I'd never heard of a brunch wedding, but this sounds amazing!! What about different flavors of pancakes and French toast? That's what I tend to eat at breakfast places.
