I'd ask just to be sure. It kind of toes that line.

I think as long as no one opens and drinks them in the building you're good? But I would ask the venue to make 100% sure.

You’d have to ask your venue. Our venue also has a no outside alcohol policy and they do not allow favors to be alcohol either.

Ask. We couldnt do favors as alcohol but they allowed us to bring in wine we made at a winery for our wedding.

I'm definitely going to ask. I think I'll wait to ask when I go in for my tasting. I hope they agree because I was going to go the DIY route. I plan on ordering the empty bottles and making a moonshine punch

Ask the venue if they can get the minis for you. They will most likely not be okay with you bringing it in due to liquor laws.

I would ask. But since this is a gift and not a hosted shot or bottles you are expecting to be opened during the wedding, I don’t see why it’s a problem.

Even if you do plan on guests drinking them during the wedding, play dumb and just say sorry after the fact.

This would make them WAY less likely to agree as technically they are giving out illegal bottles of alcohol as you aren't actually allowed to make moonshine.

I would ask but I would think they would want you to purchase any and all alcohol from them.

Definitely reach out to the venue and ask, that way you know for sure. Who knows, they may throw you a bone for being honest about it! Good luck! That is a cute NYE wedding idea!

It doesn't matter if we think it'd be okay or not. Only the venue can give you the answer. I wouldn't just assume it's okay and bring them because they might very well refuse to allow you to bring them into the building if they notice and even impose a hefty fine if they don't notice until the reception is underway.

I wasn't going to tell them it was moonshine. And there are places that you can legally buy moonshine. i'm just going to ask if I can have mini bottles of alcohol as my escort cards

It's not like I was going to sneak it in. I was having them as my escort cards so they would definitely see them. And the reason that I asked the question on wedding wire was to see what the consensus was before I asked the venue.

I’m not sure what you mean by DIY homemade moonshine punch, but don’t give your guests homemade moonshine. Just a quick google search shows that moonshine is illegal at the federal level, so it doesn’t matter if it’s legal in your state.

So... This depends on your venue and state. I wouldn't recommend this because it's really close to line breaking. Keep in mind, if they think you broke the contract they can charge for damages or kick you.
