Bring Your Own Lawn Chair? Tacky?

We are having a backyard wedding in Iowa. Both the Ceremony and Reception will be outside. I t will be very casual and low key. We plan on having lots of yard games, volleyball, a bounce house, and we are grilling out for the food. We will have close to 400 guests and that is a lot of chairs to...

We are having a backyard wedding in Iowa. Both the Ceremony and Reception will be outside. I t will be very casual and low key. We plan on having lots of yard games, volleyball, a bounce house, and we are grilling out for the food. We will have close to 400 guests and that is a lot of chairs to rent! We were thinking about coming up with the idea of bringing your own lawn chair (BYOLC) Everyone is far more comfortable in their own chair anyway. Now what I can't decide is if this is going to look bad to my quests or not... help? Please! Smiley smile

    I have a question: what will you do for the people who do not own lawn chairs? Or do you think everyone does own them? Just curious, because I do not own one because I live in a tiny condo. Perhaps rent what you can afford as a back up for those who dont bring seating? Like, say you rent 50-100 and hope for the rest?

    Prolly was lol she was probably doing like I do sometimes just asking an opinion that she's already made a decision on. I think as future brides we all rethink things..lol

    Tell your guests to mark their chairs. like putting luggage tags on them! we have to bring chairs for so many things, I'm a expert!

    I put a luggage tag on mine, and I park it with pink duct tape so it's easily spotted. do the same things with my luggage for the airport after a trip to las vegas made me realize just how popular our brand of luggage was!

    Uh. I would be all over this. I will bring my chair and a blanket. I will bounce house in my sundress and by outlandish in my joy for your wedding day. Seriously, it's a CELEBRATION! DO you girl! Smiley smile
