Bring the ring on the honeymoon?

Are you bringing your engagement ring and wedding band on your honeymoon? We are going to Hawaii and I've heard it may be better just to leave the real thing at home and maybe just wear a "fake" set. Thoughts?

I'm in Maui right now (getting married today!!) and we brought our rings. I haven't taken my ring off other to shower since I've been here. (I've been avoiding the sun this far so no pool till after the wedding). We also purchased silicone rings for when we do excursions and will be locking our rings up. Hawaii isn't a third world country so I don't think you have to worry about theft here as much.

We are island hopping in Greece and plan to leave them at home. My hands swell when I get hot plus I never wear them for outside activities. I will be uncomfortable leaving them in the hotel every day.

I'd leave any serious jewelry at home when travelling in Europe. Pickpockets abound in China. My rings got left at home and my purse held close to me when I was there. I don't trust those goons at TSA either.

For the people who swim and shower with it on, you're brave!!! I'd be so paranoid about it falling off

I'm getting a fake set for travel. I have no worries about someone stealing my ring rather me losing it. At home I have a routine and while on vacation I will break said routine. I'm scared I will put it down and not remember. To be honest I do not wear my ring that much at home. I wear it to work and when I get home it goes in its box.

I wore a really nice fake ring. I got it off Amazon for like, $15! It looked real honestly. I also honeymooned in Hawaii and didn't want to worry about losing it or damaging it.

I just got my "stunt ring" from Amazon this morning, because mine went to the jeweler to be sized. Pretty good for sterling and CZs...

I am planning on wearing all 3! I've been to Hawaii with my e ring, you should be fine. On certain trips I chose to leave my e ring at home but I travel with my gold Cartier Love band- simple but lovely. If you do anything rigorous I would say leave it behind, locked up in the room. If you are super nervous don't bring them at all, you should be able to enjoy it without worrying about your rings Smiley smile

We're on our honeymoon now! He brought his, but my bridal set (e-ring and matching band) are at home. The band I'm wearing is my late grandmother's band and the fake e-ring was $10 on Amazon, but I think it works! I didn't want something obviously fake (like a lot of CZ rings) but I also didn't want to bring diamonds and leave them not in a safe. I haven't taken the band off, but I leave the "e-ring" in our room when we're at the beach

I have a fake set of rings for the honeymoon and beach vacations. I do not want to wear them in the ocean because it can damage the ring and also if it happened to come off in the ocean or beach I would be devastated. Also keep in mind that housekeeping and other staff may be in your room and there are sometimes thefts from hotel rooms. I have heard of the dates in the room also being broken so I will not take the chance.
