Wow...just wow. So I have blue hair and have yet decided, since I have time, if I will keep it for my wedding. My FMIL told me she might get a streak of color for fun to match. I told my BM'S this and they all jumped on this thinking it would be awesome. I think it's sweet but I would NEVER ask or make them do this.

Absolutely not! Why would anyone even have the audacity to ask that?!

I have one of my BM's who's my FH sister who keeps asking me if it's ok if she dyes her hair or if it's ok if she gets tattoos on her arms. She said she understood if I didn't want her in pictures. I told her I didn't care, she could get her pink hair back if she wanted. I couldn't imagine telling my BM's they couldn't do something or had to do something that drastic for one day

Nope!!!! There was a Bridezilla episode where the bride asked her sister to dye her hair back to blonde to match the rest of the BMs and her new color (brown) did not go with the red dress.

That's just taking it too far!! Everyone's hair is minor in the grand wedding scheme

No way. And honestly, at that point it would probably do damage to our relationship that it was even asked. I would step down from being a BM for sure. I don't want to be anyones prop and clearly that person doesn't want me for me.

That's a big fat no. Even temporary color I would say no.

Basically, I am unwilling to change anything about myself for a person's wedding day. Why should I?

I only had on person ask me to change my hair back to natural blonde. I had been dying my hair blue black for 9 years before that and I refused. She knew I hated my blonde hair so why ask me to do something I hate?

Nope! My Maid of Honor is not a prop. She is my closest friend. I trust her implicitly. She is picking out her own dress with no restrictions from me. She is doing her own hair and makeup. I am sure she will look beautiful.

Nope, never, no way and no how. I would kind of like for my brother to shave his beard before my wedding but I would never actually ask him to do it!

I offered to my sister to dye my hair a "normal" colour. I had chunks of different colours. She said no but in the end I chose to dye it dark brown because I was unsure if I wanted to look at the pictures lol

    Never.

First and foremost, I'm not a prop, I'm your friend. You love me for me, no matter what color my hair is. Second...who has the money for that if it isn't part of your regular upkeep? ESPECIALLY with almost waist length hair?!

One of my girls shaved the side of her head and dyed her hair. She asked me if it was ok because the wedding was coming up. I laughed and told her that I love her for who she is, and she's going to look smokin no matter what. She did. Smiley smile

Lol O&S, I had the brief thought of "If they asked me to dye it blue, and paid for it...FUCK YES."

But my job doesn't like "unnatural" hair colors, so I couldn't do it for that.

Nope. I have only ever dyed my hair once and it was like one shade darker than normal and got really dry.

Also, as a natural redhead, I would be really uncomfortable having someone dye my hair. It's not like you can go in the next day and fix it-- I've never seen a red hair dye that would match my hair. I didn't care how my BMs styled their hair either--it's hair, they know how their hair looks good and can do it themselves.
