Hi everyone!
I have a question about who you chose to be your bridesmaids? I know I am far out, but after taking an inventory on my friends, I'm struggling. Obviously when I look back on my day in the future I want it to be people still in my life..

I don't have a ton of close girlfriends and the one best friend I had (i posted about this previously) might not be involved. So as of right now, I have one definite bridesmaid that I plan on asking - FHs step sister.

I am considering asking my cousin, we aren't the closest but its not like we don't talk at all. (we are the only 2 girls on our side of the family so I feel it makes sense.) Did you all choose a cousin in this situation? I feel like it would make my family happy.

I chose people who have loved and supported both of us but who are also close friends/family. I couldn’t imagine not having those people up there with me. Personally I think that’s what it’s about. I hear so many stories of friends who feel like they have to ask certain people and end up wishing they didn’t. So go with your heart and choose people who you want not who you think should be chosen.

My process of choosing honestly was Who do I believe is someone who will stand by not only me but also for my relationship.

So I have a MAN OF HONOR... best friend and who cares that he is a guy, my brother (who is also walking me down the aisle), a couple of girls I've worked with for 4 years (as we spend more than 40 hours a week together and have grown closer), 2 girls from the gym as we have been working out together for 4+ years.... and a mutual friend of me and my FH who we travel to see each year.

The framework of the people who support me and my happiness may look different than other people's traditional line up but I care more about the relationships not the image.

Maybe you don't have a ton of girls in your life... that's ok. Maybe select the PEOPLE who mean the most to you.

Or maybe you only have 2 or 3 and keep it simple. And special.

Maybe consider asking someone whom you have looked up to or revered... maybe even has inspired you.

Be you, and let your day reflect you.
