Bridesmaids preperation food

Angie B, on June 7, 2012 at 7:27 AM Posted in Planning 0 13

Just wandering what you ladies are having for snacks for your bridal party the day of while getting ready with hair and make up and dressing? I keep reading advice to make sure we feed them so no one passes out. Did past brides do heavy things or light finger foods?

We had finger foods. Cheese, crackers, fruit, nuts, cookies. Oh, and plenty to drink. I preferred water because we didn't have solid food the whole day :-)

When I was the MOH for my best friend she had cinnamon buns, finger sandwiches, and lots of other munchies. It was kinda of needed though, I was 8 months pregnant.

We had a lot of finger foods. We had bagels, cream cheese, and lox. We also had fruits such as watermelon, bananas, and strawberries. We also had sushi, cheese and meat slices and crackers, and a Cuban sandwich that was cut into small slices. It was a long day, but we were well nourished.

Drinks: we had coffee, tea, juice, mimosas, and water

Andrea looks like you guys had a nice spread. I am thinking a meat and cheese tray with crackers. I was planning on doing water just because we need the hydration that soda can't provide. The finger sandwiches are also a good idea.

When I was MOH, I don't recall having anything. But my plan for my girls the morning of, is to have a little spot of breakfast, and bringing leftovers from the rehearsal dinner (some of the finger foods like crackers/cheese, little piece of desert, and a small sandwich). I also will make sure there is bottled water at the church.

    Definitely feed them.

I had a meat and cheese tray, crackers, fruit, veggies, and hummus. Also water, soda, mimosas, a box of joe and bagels with shmear from Dunkin Donuts - because who doesn't like Dunkin Donuts? Smiley smile

We packed it up and took it with us when we left for photos, and it came in very handy at church so we could snack a little before the ceremony.

Sushi? i didnt even think about that. I was wanting something no heavy and that sounds perfect.

I'll probably make my famous sangria too. I'll be there at 9am probably by myself but I'll probably bring croissants and fruit anyway.

I'm going to do a full meal. I get hypoglycemic and I eat every couple of hours.

I plan on making dinner the night before and throwing it in the oven the morning of. I'm not getting married unles I eat, I'll faint.

Plus my favorite champagne, of course!

I plan to provide bagels, cream cheese, and fresh fruit with OJ, coffee, and water for breakfast. Like the other ladies, I will also have stuff for them to snack on throughout the day - cookies, crackers, cheese, fruit, veggies. Plenty of water is a must.

My girlfriend gave us bagels and cream cheese, donuts and juice while we were getting ready. I wish I would've eaten more, lol! By the time the ceremony came around I was STARVING. I'll probably do finger sandwiches, cheese+crackers and lots of water/juice.

We had turkey and swiss roll up sandwiches cut into small pieces, a veggie tray, some chips, some fruit, water and mimosas. Worked out well. We were not hungry and not stuffed!

We ordered a sandwich tray from a grocery store. We ate but not too much as we were constantly rushing.

I was in a wedding last summer, we got a fruit tray, some crissoants and some bagles/cream cheese. That's probably what I'll do. We're all staying together the night before in the same house (along w/the entire bridal party- oot wedding) So the night before I am going to go to the store and get this stuff along w/some OJ and either cran or apple juice, coffee and creamers, a coffee cake and maybe some microwavable sausages or bacon- that sort of stuff so ppl can munch the morning of and not have to *make* anything themselves... I'm hoping it won't cost me an arm and a leg, but I know we'll need food in the house the morning of- there will be a ton of ppl there and kids too. No food will equal a cranky BP for sure. lol.
