Bridesmaids dresses

Rebecca, on January 2, 2020 at 2:56 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9
Alright, so we have 8 bridesmaids (possibly a ninth) and I have a variety of 4 colors for my October 2020 wedding. Now I am arguing with myself about whether or not to have the girls in the same dresses, a variation of the same dress, or any dress they choose. The colors are a dusty orange and burnt yellow palatte, and all my girls are mixed in complexion. Any thoughts or advice? Bridesmaids dresses 1

I'm doing same color different cut for my girls. If you stuck with 8 girls you could have 2 in each of the four pictured dresses - in different cuts.

I agree with the PP. The colors look great together and it will be nice to let people have a little variety with different complexions.

I personally would do either different colors or s different dress, but not both as I think it wouldn't look conhensive at all if you do totally different dresses on everyone. The other option would be to have half in one dress and half in another. If you do it that way I would figure out your line up and say girls 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 are in one dress and the others are in the other.

Hi! I have six bridesmaids and I have three different shades of purple for the dresses. I picked who was wearing what color based on their order and then I let them pick what type of dress they wanted. The only stipulation I had with it was it had to be the color I picked and had to be a mesh material. I’ve heard so many stories of girls hating their bridesmaid dresses because they felt so uncomfortable in them. I wanted my girls to be comfy on my wedding day! I like the color you have picked- especially for your wedding day!

Hi Rebecca, you could check jjshouse.com, they have many dresses that are available in as many as 35 colors, so if you want the same dress in different shades they might be a good option, I'm putting my bridesmaids in lilac and lavender, I've purchased several evening dresses from them and I highly recommend them.

I'm doing a mix and match bridal party (different shades of purple and different dresses) and I am obsessed with the mix and match bridal party look!

My girls wore different dresses in the same color. 4 different colors is a lot... maybe you could do your MOH in one color and everyone else in the same color?

I personally am putting all of my bridesmaids in the same color and style dress, but my advice would be to let them have different style dresses in the same color rather than different dresses in different colors.

I like variations in dresses. I love the mismatched bridesmaids trend and think its awesome when girls can choose both the style and color of their dress.

I think as long as you have all floor length dresses and similar material/fabric then giving the girls a choice would work fine. I really like the colors you picked. I'm generally not a fan of yellow/orange (its a super difficult color to pull off) but think you have enough variety and that all the colors work together really nicely.
