OK ladies, I have a question for you all. How do you feel about the bridesmaids, really just ONE changing out of their dresses right after the wedding? Here's my thinking on it: 1. OK ladies, I have a question for you all. How do you feel about the bridesmaids, really just ONE changing out of their dresses right after the wedding?

Here's my thinking on it:
1. I told you to pick your dress and encouraged you to get a style you wanted and would be comfortable in ALL day.

2. I have said we will be doing the dances and pictures throughout the entire day, so I want us to all look fabulous!

3. Isn't it just sort of expected that if you are in the wedding party you stay dressed up all night?
4. Again, because they are so important to me....PICTURES!

OK fire away just remember I am 17 days from the wedding, and truly not trying to be a BRIDEZILLA! But, I do not want to budge on this matter. Am I wrong here?

I've never seen a bridesmaid change her dress. I agree that if you said chose any dress you're comfortable in, there should be no reason to change.

Once the ceremony os over , and post ceremony pics, who cares what they wear to the reception, as long as it is an appropriate formality? Like any other guest or wp, assume they dress nicely, then they will look fine in pictures. I do not see the issue. People watch the bride dance, whether the ceremony dress or a reception dress, but no one cares if BM match or not at this point. You do like your friends as they are, right?

Lots of BM change when the bride chooses something strapless and bare , and they are in the sun for hours. Or it is 50-65degrees, or winter and drafty in the venue. And also, if the dresses have little support, and BM want to dance, or move around without either wearing their dress super tight, or having it looser and constantly falling. No matter how pretty a dress is, no one wants to wear a dress over an hour if inapprropriate for the weather, or there is no support. Sometimes having hook on straps will do the trick, bit others the choice is change, or be miserable for hours, because the thoughtless bride chose dresses to match her vision, with no consideration of the BM comfort, or the weather.

This is the thing. As long as they end up appropriately dressed, very nicely of the correct formality still.

You have a point, however she said she had the girls choose choose what dress they wanted. She didn't make them go strapless or choose something without support. If the BM chose a dress that was uncomfortable, unfortunately that's on her not the bride.
