Bridesmaid & Wedding Dress

Jasmine, on June 28, 2020 at 7:47 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 24

We have a marble theme going on so I'm thinking of putting my girls in black. I don't care what style but I just want to make sure they all come out in the same shade so no one looks faded or any more faded than the other. Below is my dress. It's not white so do you think black would clash and would it be weird for my bridesmaids to wear anything that has lace in their dress even though mine doesn't??

Black would be beautiful. I don't think it matters if their dresses are a different fabric than yours.

Your dress is gorgeous. Like PP said black goes with anything. I also think the lace with your crystals will look great.

Thank you! I just couldn't really picture how it would look and I'd hate to do it and then not like it lol.

Thanks! I realized I told my girls no lace and then I thought about it. Like would it really matter. Definitely needed opinions to make sure I'm just not crazy lol.

Thank you!! I think that's why I was like "no lace" at first cause I couldn't really tell if it would go together.

My dress is a combo of crystals and lace. They go together nicely!

Please post pictures after your wedding. I would love to see what you come up with!

Thank you! I think I might have found a couple dresses but it's hard to know which sites to trust anymore.

No, I think black will look very elegant and your dress is STUNNING.

I would select the store for them, that way the actual shade of black is uniform 😉 that's what I did with my bridesmaids. They can order whatever style they're comfortable in, but has to be from the same place.
I don't think lace would be a problem, either. Most bridesmaids dresses don't have a whole lot of it, so it probably won't be overpowering or anything.

Thank you! I was really hoping because there's some dresses that I'm starting to really like. I just have to see if the site is trustworthy.

I agree. They'd be getting it from the same site/store and they can choose whichever style they want. And thank you!! It looks like a sparkle one might win lol but I just have to see if the site is legit.

Black would look great and elegant and good for the marble effect. No one will notice their fabric so they can wear lace. Why not? You have pic ideas of the BM dresses?

Thanks. I found a few options but there was one that one of my bridesmaids brought to my attention. I was gonna let them wear whatever style they wanted but the sparkle won across the board lol. They're both from Ever-Pretty but I just don't know if it's a legit site. The first two (front and back) is what I was thinking lace wise and then the sparkle is the other two (front and back).

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding where the bride wore an off white dress, and we all wore black lace dresses. It looked AMAZING. Definitely go for it if you want it!!

I like the first one personally as that is my style but both dresses are lovely and if they prefer the sparkle then that is great too. Both will look lovely.

YES PLEASE black all the way! Black is my absolute favorite color to wear as a bridesmaid because it's so versatile and basically ensures that I can wear the dress again. Black looks great with everything, and will certainly look great next to your dress.
