Maybe you could buy them makeup brushes and tie a cute note to them explaining the gift.

Possibly something like this....That is something simple to make AC Moore, Michael's, any craft store would have this stuff....Then attach a ribbon like in the picture below with a saying about make up and on the other side something like considerate done or taken cared of.....the brush idea is very cute though!!

If you wanted to go even simpler, you could give each gal a lipstick of the color they will be wearing at the wedding. As MUA, I know the lipstick I put on at the start of the day is not going to last... that's just the way lipstick is! If they each have one they can then put that in their purse for the evening for touch-ups... also, every time they use it beyond that they will think of you!

How about a mirror with a ribbon and tag with what you'd like to say? I think a hand mirror like the old school ones with the handles would be cool.

I don't think you should consider paying for their makeup as part of their gift. While it is very helpful and generous of you, it is not a gift. It's you wanting their makeup done for your wedding and photos, so you are paying for it. I paid for both my MOH's hair and makeup, but that wasn't her gift. It was wedding day related, something that wouldn't be kept or used after the wedding.

From the way your wording is posted, it seems you are getting them something else too right? Just let that be the gift and let them know that you plan on picking up the bill for their makeup.
