Bridesmaid dresses wont come until 2 weeks before the wedding

futuremrslavender, on February 1, 2016 at 6:59 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 24

My girls got their dresses this weekend from Davids Bridal, we ordered it in the blush colour and then I decided I wanted to change it to blue. I wasn't told though by doing that the dresses wouldn't come till June 12 and my wedding is June 24th! Originally the dresses would have come in April. I don't know what to do, my sister is wearing a floral print dress, I wanted my MOH in blush and my two bridesmaids in blue. I feel like the only options I have is to leave it or change my bridesmaids dresses to blush.

They told my bridesmaid her dress wouldnt come in for 3 or 4 months. She got it two weeks later. It might come in a lot sooner.

I was told my BM dress would arrive at the store late August last year, and it arrived mid July. Relax!

I really hope so, I've been reading reviews on davids bridal and some of them say the dresses came late or never showed up. I really don't want to change the colour, I didn't get to have my original colour choice so it would suck if I'd have to change it again

It wasn't a bridesmaids dress, but I was told that my sash would be in the week after Thanksgiving, and my slip in mid-December. Both of them were delivered a week before Thanksgiving.

I don't have experience with BM dresses persay (yet!), but just with ordering things in general, they usually arrive a lot early than what the expected date is! They have to tell you the worst case scenario date as a precaution for them (so if they tell you something earlier and it doesn't come until later they aren't liable).

I would take some deep breaths! It'll be okay. Smiley smile

Last year I ordered my bridesmaids dress from David's bridal and it came in 2 months early. I ordered my dress from there and it came in in 2 weeks when they told me 4. They tend to be really quick and give your longer lead times just in case

We went bridesmaid dress shopping at DB on January 18th, and I got an email last week that the dress was ready to be picked up. I think you will be okay.

Both my dress and MOH dress from DB came in half the time, like everyone is saying. I don't think I have ever seen a bride on this site say their dresses came late from DB. I would stick with your plan.

I went shopping for my bridesmaid dresses there two weeks ago and they came in already. They came in within a week of ordering (four of them). We weren't expecting them for months.

DB gives you a long lead time to pressure the sale. Stuff comes in super fast. I think my wedding dress took a week.

Yea I had a BM order her dress 2 weeks ago, they told her April and she got it today. They tell you the latest possible date it could possibly be there so you will probably be ok.

My three bridesmaids ordered their dresses on the same day. Two were told they would be in in a month and it took about that. The third was told 6 weeks and it took the whole 6 weeks. They don't always come early.

My MOH and I went shopping back in October/November for her dress. They told her that her dress wouldn't come in until February or March (since she needed a specific size). It came after 3.5 weeks. Sometimes it'll work out well, and other times you just have to wait. Don't stress out too much about it.

Another echo that everything came super early, both when I was a BM two years ago and for my girls now
