First off I'm sorry that you're going through this but as Celia said you will kick cancers ass. My aunt just finished her chemo and lost her hair in the process. She would rock a wig but eventually she just went without it. I think it just bothered her.

I wear a wig since i use it as a protective style since I'm trying to stay away from sew ins/extensions until my wedding day. It's best to alway wear wig cap which keeps it in place, there are so many beautiful human hair wigs that look so natural. I would recommend getting a full lace wig. Those are very versatile you can put it up in a ponytail,half up half down style, curl it , straighten it. I hope this is some help to you a big ol virtual hug to you.

I used to work with The American Cancer Society. I strongly urge you to reach out to them if you need any kind of support. We would cut checks for wigs and other supplies as well as transportation to and from appointments. Best of luck!

I would look into the cold cap therapy. Oddly enough, I just had this exact conversation today with my BM who beat cervical cancer earlier this year and was just diagnosed officially today with Stage 1 cancer. She too, will do 3 rounds of oral chemo (4 weeks at a time). They told her she may/may not lose her hair. She will finish up chemo the week before my wedding. I told her we would cross that bridge when we got there. Bald, patchy, or thin she will still be gorgeous! Prayers for you! #kickcancersass

My mom had cancer in her late 30s and lost every single hair on her heaf. She rocked a wig for a little bit (she also said her head was cold without it), but would eventually go out without one once it was about an inch long. It grew back just as thick, but almost all gray. I think you should approach this problem when it happens.

First of all, you got this girl!! 2nd you could invest in a high quality wig if that's what will make you feel comfortable and beautiful! You will wear it often I'm sure. There are a lot of options out there. Plus a photographer will do a great job of editing the photos if the wig has something you don't like about it!

First of all, praying your treatment is as easy on your body as it can be, and for strength throughout the process. You will beat this! Girl, embrace whatever is thrown your way, because at the end of the day, you're kicking cancer's butt and that is STRONG. Here is how beautiful a bride with no hair can be. She is radiating beauty. I didn't read all of the comments, but here's how I feel on this.

Girlfriend, you are beautiful and your FH thinks so to with or without hair. I say if you do end up loosing it you rock no hair because it shows strength and that you are a survivor. When your children ask why you didn't wear a wig in the future you tell them that you were proud to be yourself and that you are a survivor of a terrible sickness.

Just remember you will be beautiful no matter what. I am sure that doesn't magically make everything go away for you, but I hope you know there are people on here that truly believe it.

My mom and sister had chemo at the same time.. while my mom lost hair my sister didn't so you may or may not loose hair. Wait and see. If you do notice it starts to come out then cut it and start trying them out and see what looks best for you (:

My mum lost her hair when she had chemo. She got a wig and it looked amazing! The wig person bought it to the house and then cut it to suit my mum even more. Good luck with beating the cancer

I also agree to just wait it out and see what happens. then decide from there. once you start chemo you will be able to see what is happening or isn't happening to your hair then you will know what is best for you! either way you are going to be a beautiful bride!!! I'd start researching wigs now so you have all the info you need when the time comes to make a decision then see how it goes. If you lose your hair and decide to rock it bald go for it! If a wig feels right, then that's perfect too. You make the decision that feels right for you. Don't let anyone else tell you how to feel or make you feel bad about the decision you make!

I would wait until closer to the time. Like others have said, it depends on your treatment. That was the case with my mom. She was on chemo and radiation for 7 weeks straight. She only lost about 1/3 of her hair. A friend with cancer recently got married and opted against a wig for comfort reasons. She instead had an artist do a henna design (in the likes of a floral crown) on her head. It looked beautiful and never gave a second thought to her not having hair. Best of luck and wishes!
