Brides with glasses - are you wearing them on your wedding day?

Just a question to all the other bespectacled ladies out there - are you wearing your glasses on your wedding day? I wear glasses daily. I'm really not supposed to wear contacts because I'm blind in one eye and my "good" eye has had some issues with contacts in the past. I checked with my doctor, though, and he said I could wear the disposable one-day contacts every once in a while.

My mom thinks I look more "bride-y" (her words, not mine) without my glasses and that I should opt for contacts during the pictures and ceremony. I don't see quite as well with contacts, and I've been wearing glasses for so long that I think I look funny without them.

Other ladies with glasses - are you wearing your glasses on your wedding day? I considered maybe even buying more feminine "bride-y" glasses, since my everyday ones have black frames.

I just got mine a month ago. They were only supposed to be for when they were needed, but I wear them all the time now. I don't plan to wear them that day though.

I'm wearing my contacts. It's going to be a long day but nothing eye drops won't help with. I'll have my contacts in from 10am-1:30am. I'm going to bring my glasses with "just in case" but I think I look better without glasses.

I didn't wear mine. I usually wear glasses daily and contacts for formal occasions/going out.

However you are in luck because I feel like glasses are coming back into fashion. I see more and more girls wearing glasses at formal occasions and I think brides look great in them! I agree maybe get some new frames that are appropriate for evening. But if you are so uncomfortable in contacts there's no reason you can't wear your glasses.

I'm keeping mine on and so is FH. I've worn glasses daily since 2nd grade, I feel like I look strange without them.

I'm keeping mine on- it's not worth the hassle of trying to deal with contacts. I have a couple pairs of glasses, one of them being Silhouettes.

Nope! I'm only near-sighted, so as long as someone else is driving then we're good.

I wear glasses and I wore my glasses on my wedding day. I could NEVER wear contacts and despite what some of my friends thought, the idea of wearing contacts on my wedding day never crossed my mind. Instead I bought a new pair of glasses that matched my wedding colours.

Do what you will be most comfortable in. You don't want to be worrying about your vision on your wedding day with everything else going on.

I will definitely be wearing mine. I've worn them everyday for 9 years and wouldn't even think about not wearing them. I want to look like myself at my wedding and in pictures.

I just did a google image search for "brides in glasses" and everyone looked adorable. If you are able to get a new pair that is a little more dressy, or just different, for your big day that might be a way to make it feel more like part of your bridal look?

I am struggling with this too!! I take my glasses off for photos anyway but am afraid the indention on either side of my nose will be seen. My photographer says she can erase those and I just cannot do contacts, or be blind for my wedding lol

I am new to the glasses game and recently started wearing them all day, every day. I can't see far away without them. I am not wearing them on my wedding day and was going to try contacts but with those if I cry won't they come out?

I was on the fence about wearing mine, but after seeing this article (http://www.buzzfeed.com/rachelwmiller/beautiful-brides-in-glasses#.fame3gWlq) I think I'm going to wear mine or at least get a pair that will match/complement my dress. FH will be wearing his glasses, too.

I won't be wearing my glasses, but I can see pretty well without them. I need them for distance and I don't foresee that being a problem. I will probably have them with me until I walk down the aisle. I don't wear contacts at all, so I won't have those.

I'm wearing mine for the same reason Katie mentioned. I don't look like myself without them. I don't want to look back at my pictures and have it look like a stranger married my husband.
