Yes!! I know of another couple in my area whose early August and are waiting it out too. We are in Ohio and they are allowing weddings as of June 1st. I am hopeful by end of August we can have one with no restrictions.

We’re in Ohio too and moved ours from April 10th to December 26th... hoping all will be normal by then as well. We want a party and definitely can’t do that if that don’t allow “congregating”.

We are getting married in October and are still moving forward. We had a guest list of 150 but plan to cutting it down to 50 if needed.
Our venue said they are hopeful but cant guarantee we can have it right now since everything keeps changing. If we cant have it at our venue we will find a park, someones backyard or an outdoor venue and then have food catered. Still having it that day no matter what

Hi. We just decided to cancel our July 31 wedding after postponing it from April 3. We are going to get married in a nice park where we live and just have the officiant and two required witnesses. We may do a Zoom wedding. Many vendors have only given partial or no refunds at all. We’ve lost a lot of money but decided to keep our eye on the prize. We just want to get married. We will have a celebration with family and friends next year. Congratulations to those couples who decided to proceed. Be safe and stay well.

Hello yes it is a sad time for everyone we had changed our wedding date to next year so we could give our bridal party time to recover and to get back on there feet after the covid-19. With so many safeness of losing important family members we felt best to wait to everything was over.

Hi! I’m sorry you’re going through this. Our venue told us they were not allowed to reopen until we are in Phase 3 of the opening plan. They said, even when they reopened, they weren’t sure what that was going to look like with social distancing. Our wedding was around 180 people, so social distancing would be difficult. Our County that we are getting married in is Medium/large, we are currently in Stage 1, but who know where we will be in August and our Venue understood that there was just a lot of uncertainty.

Our venue was amazing. They allowed us to postpone, without any troubles. They provided us with all of the available dates this year and next. We decided to postpone until next August, we had to pay the difference in the rate (which luckily wasn’t much). They suggested we talk to all of our vendors and let them know which date we wanted to reschedule to and they would pencil us in. Our vendors highly suggested that we go through with postponing the wedding. I’m glad they allowed us to postpone earlier versus later, since next years dates were filling up fast.
I hope this information helps. Good luck with everything! It’s a hard decision to make (I cried when we made the decision), but afterwards it was a weight lifted. I wasn’t so stressed about where we will be in the next month or two. Congrats on getting married!!!! I wish nothing but the best for you two!

We are still having our wedding. We are getting married at the Outer Banks June 8th. We made it family only so our guest list went from 95 to 40, but all the important people we want will be there. We are excited. We also modified our reception so we aren’t doing any dancing besides our first dance. Just so everyone feels more safe and there will be social distancing. Our seating at tables will be arranged for families staying at the same rental houses. We are trying to make everyone feel as safe as possible and so far everyone is on board.

Wow, it's just so crazy how different venue's are handling things. We are having about 200 people so to me it just doesn't seem like a wedding of that size will happen anytime soon. The county I am getting married in isn't even fully in Phase I, they are in a very restrictive pre-phase I. I am so glad you have a venue who understands what is going on and is working with you. My vendors are amazing, they told me if I do postpone they will just rewrite contracts with the new date. I just wish my venue would do the same. It's good to know that your venue doesn't see a wedding of that size happening until Phase III. There is no way we will be in that phase by August. I'm hoping in June they will let me postpone/cancel since it will be 2 months out. I refuse to even buy and send invitations, I can't see wasting money for an event I truly don't see happening.

Thank you for filling me in on your situation. I'm sure it was really hard to postpone but also relief. I'm sure your day next summer will be everything you want it to be. You won't have to worry about the safety of your guests.

Call us crazy, but we are still waiting it out for our scheduled wedding September 1st in Siena, Italy. As of now things are still very much up in the air but the last two weeks have provided us hope that Italy is moving in a good direction and seems that they may allow Americans by August timeframe. We originally had 100 guests planning to attend, and I assume that will come down significantly if /when we announce our decision to keep our date.

We have about 40 ppl (yes I calculated this) that have told us that if there are no restrictions, they will still plan to go. Which has kept us very positive Smiley smile we have the option to postpone to October 2021, as our venue was already all booked up rest of 2021. (Unfortunate that we would be “forced” into a date we wouldn’t have paid for in the first place! I’m sure you all are experiencing the same)
The reason why we are still holding out is for a lot of reasons...we’re already so far in the $$ hole, at the end of the day no matter what our wedding will be Different but if it still happens this year I feel like the excitement will still be in the air from our guests, as this is likely the only trip they have for 2020!!
I’m an optimistic person, so sending all you other brides out there good vibes ! No matter what it’s your wedding and your day! Make the decision that is right for you Smiley smile

I'm still going ahead with mine! Smiley ring praying borders are Open . Getting married in Jamaica and only lost 2 guest so far! They did tell me everyone going would have to show proof they are negative for Covid. taking a test 3-4 days prior to arriving at the hotel.

Sucks but i let my guest know and my friends/family are ok with it. Everyone is just excited because this will be our first trip this year. As Covid took over the world since late Feb/early March.

My state, North Dakota, has now moved into low risk. Our governor announced we can have 75% capacity in venues. Our wedding isn't until July 25th so it could go either way depending on what happens in this next month!🤞
