My wedding is July 25th. We planned on having 80 people at a country club and put down our deposit in August. We needed to cancel before May 25th or we would owe the rest of the money. Due to covid, a lot of family didn't want to travel and we were unsure if we could have the wedding we envisioned, so we backed out and found a new venue. We downsized the guest list to 18: just siblings, parents, and grandparents.

Hello. I'm trying to keep everything Black owned. Is that possible?

Yes, we need some positivity. I’ve actually been staying away from these forums because there are too many depressing and gloomy COVID19 posts.

We’re in October and waiting it out until August to make a decision. We only invited 65 people, we don’t have a bridal party and all of the vendors are booked and planning is done. So waiting is all we have to do right now (besides invitations). But before COVID, we sent STD’s, we have our wedding website and we decided on the invitation style. So since our guests know the details already, I’m not concerned about the invitations going out a bit late. But I’m still hoping and praying that we can still go through with it, even if it means only half of our guests can come (that’s fine with me). If not, we have a plan B to still get married on our date and then do everything we planned later. But I really don’t want to go through all of that.

I am in WNY, September 12 and holding on strong! I am doing my very best to just stay above the negativity and pray on that we can have it! We have under 90 people so I’m hoping that works in our favor!! Thinking about you other brides and praying for the best!!🥰❤️👍🏼

I’m in NY & we have our wedding date set for November 7th 2020, but we have a soft hold on July 31st 2021 in case we do have to postpone. We’ve been going back & forth about us getting married still on our original date if we do postpone but we’ve both come to the conclusion of just waiting for our new date if we have to. We want to be married but we feel like if we do go down to the court house or something it’ll take away something special about our ceremony in front of all our family members we really want there. Idk it’s a hard decision but we’re gonna figure it out unfortunately under this circumstances

Hey Our date is July 11th but we are planning now to consider rescheduling. Our guest count is 180. We are in NC and all venues are still closed and no more than groups of 10. If we keep our date. I was planning to include a note about Covid-19

    Hey,

Y'all are brave. We are July 11th too but I have gotten scared and looking at Dec 12th now. Everything is still pretty much closed here in NC and groups are limited to 10. Coming down from 180 to 10 or 50 or 100 is a major cut. We really want to celebrate with all our guest as expected.

Best Wishes to you Smiley ring

Hey! I'm a NJ bride planning on getting married October 2020. After hearing our governor speak today, I am leaning towards postponing. Sounds like large gatherings wont be allowed until a possible vaccine, and we're inviting 200+ people. I'm working on calling my vendors now to see if we can postpone to next spring/ summer.
