Our date is September 19th, I spent all of April stressing out about finishing up our invitations to possibly having to postpone our wedding, I’ve waited 12 years for this (high school sweethearts). My Fiancé told me not to stress about it, that we would decide in July if we really have to, but now I’m wondering if we do should I redo our invitations or just add a note with our new date?

I’m in Dallas. I’m not familiar with Houston vendors. I’m sure if you searched online something would pop up. And use Wedding Wire and The Knot vendor search.

Hi! In the same boat here! Our 10year anniversary is a few weeks after our hopeful wedding day (sept 12) the venue didn’t have it available but we are holding onto hope and praying for the best! Taking it all day by day! We have invitations and if we end up having to reschedule, I am definitely just keeping these and I’ll cross off the date and rewrite it in almost a cute funny way and people will understand due to the times! Especially since they cost so much and I loved the ones I got! Hang in there! If we can make it this long, what’s a little longer if it’s the safest way?❤️🤞🏼Stay strong!

Congrats! We got engaged on our 11th anniversary, yes we’ve waited long enough💕

    I thought he’d never ask!

We are actually having it at an outdoor venue so hopefully they still allow it, of course with all necessary precautions, I was also thinking of getting or making custom face masks with our wedding date as favors Lol

I love everything DIY, I made our invitations (with the help of my cricut machine) which is why I was stressing about having them ready, I just wish I would’ve waited to print the wording part, i thought about that’s too! I love that idea of just crossing the date out and writing in the new one. Hopefully this ends soon so we can get some reassurance, like planning a wedding isn’t stressful enough 😩

July 18 wedding in WA and my FH and I are still having it. If everything goes right, we should be in phase 4 by my wedding. He and I are 36 and 48 and just didn’t want to postpone another year as we want to start a family. Those that show up it’s all good, no second wedding in 2021 😂

Wedding planning for us was a breeze until the last month and that's because of Covid 19. Our wedding is June 6th. The only change is the guest list. We were not sure if we could have it at our original venue until last week and we can only have 25 people with a chance of it going up to 50, but we wont know until June 1st. Either way we still get to say I do with our families as planned. Smiley smile I waited 10 years for that day and did not want to wait any longer if I could help it.

Hello, In what state is your wedding? We are scheduled for 6/20/2020 in Sacramento, California. The county is slowly starting to re-open but we are not sure what restrictions may look like. Somedays we think we will be able to have our wedding and other days we think not. It's been such a rollercoaster of emotions.

Hi Renee, my wedding is November 21,2020 and we have decided before sending out wedding invites we are going to wait until it's closer to that time due to the pandemic to see what's the guidelines. We want to be able to share that moment with our family and friends and not have to choose whose able and not able to attend our special day. I have been going anxiety attacks due to this matter as a lot of our wedding decor have been pushed back due to some businesses having to close. It's get t in heavy because one of the vendors returned our money because he's closing his shop for good 😢 I'm just at a all time high lost at this moment. What are y'all plans and how will you adjust?

Exactly my thoughts!! We get a sprinkle of wedding stress, a dash of family drama and a heaping load of Covid worry! 😂 have to make light of it sometimes, but that’s amazing you made them yourself! I wish I had the talent! We are making. A lot of the center pieces and my sister is a cookier so the favors will be mini cookies and macaroons but it does help and saves money!! I’m keeping everyone in my thoughts and praying for the best outcome for us!! 🥰

Have you heard anything from your vendors as to what they are doing? I am NJ as well. There are no specific dates. We are 8/28. I am having doubts regarding the reception at this point. I don't see how they fit into any of the stages.

They havent contacted me at all. I reached out to reschedule and they were totally okay with it. Just trying to figure out the best day for next year. If the events/weddings are going to have more than 100 people I think it's considered a mass gathering. And Murphy said no mass gatherings until there's a vaccine. Weddings will just have to take place with restrictions. Also, I dont think my guests would be totally comfortable dancing, hugging, etc just yet. I have alot of older relatives and I think postponing is the best option for me.

Maybe you can have all your guests by September but there will be social distancing. You may need more tables so check with your venue.

We doubt it but keeping fingers crossed. It would be impossible to gather and be distant with 200 people. We just have to wait to see what the restriction will be in July, which I'm sure there will be and go from there. We already have 23 tables. More tables = more decorations = more money.

Same here. Unless it a huge restriction, like 25% capacity then we will postpone again. Thats 75 people in our venue. 75 people represent just my family. Not saying all will attend, but you get the idea.

LOL true, your venue would have to be the size of a football field. I'm in Aug and they said social distancing is a must because of the CDC guidelines and its not changing anytime soon. We have 10 people at a table but because of social distancing it will be 6 (every other chair will have a guest). So we most likely need more tables, if we move forward.

We are still having our wedding June 20th, but we are now changing locations. We talked to the venue, we have weighed out pros and cons and how much money would be put into the venue for everything and not have enough people (we would basically be giving the venue free money), so luckily my fiance has a buddy who offered his barn out in the beautiful country for FREE, we are looking at catering options and doing something simple, we aren't going all fancy like we orginally were due to it now being more intimate and just with close family and couple friends, compared to before we had over 150 guests but now we are at around 50 guests due to the covid19, we had cut down the list and then even so, people declined and didn't feel comfortable (totally understandable). I am just ready to get it over with and be married to my fiance.
