Hello ladies! My wedding is September 18th of this year! Coming up so fast!!
So my mother in law is a saint. Love her to pieces. She is throwing me a bridal shower and I have no idea what one even is. What is it? What do I wear?

Its usually a party of women who have lunch and maybe cocktails. Gifts are usually given either from your registry or for the wedding night, depending in your crowd. Depending in the setting a nice summer dress would work.

As Ingrid said, it's usually a lunch for the women you have invited to your wedding, sometimes drinks are offered. People "shower" you with gifts from your registry if you have one. A lot of times there are games to play and prizes to kind of keep it from being too boring with just food, so she could do things like How Well Do You Know the Bride, a gift bingo, find the fiance under your chair or under a cup and you win a prize, things like that. Most brides will wear dresses to their bridal shower, although it's not a requirement!
