Bridal Shower! Where's yours going to be?! Are you having one?!

Not having a shower. I told my FMIL from the very beginning that I don't want one. She didn't really understand why but she respects my decision… with the occasional question if I have changed my mind. lol

I can't be of much help but I am being thrown a shower by my sister and FMIL. Mad hatter tea party theme and it's at FMILs house. She said it will be by the pond with gazebos set up, I can't wait!

My MOH/cousin is throwing me one at her mom's (my aunt) house. My FMIL will also be throwing a small one for me at her house since FH's husband's family lives 2-3 hours away. I wouldn't have one if someone else wasn't planning.

ETA: I have no idea what's actually happening at either shower.

I think my MOH and my mom have booked mine at a restaurant, but I don't know (because it's a secret). it's definitely not at a house. obviously a restaurant wouldn't let you bring your own food and drinks. do you or any of your relatives attend a church that has a hall or basement attached? any military connections that could allow you to use a VFW hall? community center?

As Ashley said, showers are gifting events and etiquette states you shouldn't host your own event. I have no idea where, when and what (if any) theme it will be. I do know that my sister (my MOH) will be working with the bridesmaids on the shower but that's about it.

I know the ladies at my work are throwing me one, but not until May. No one else has offered to host one so I'm not planning on having one unless that changes.

Thanks guys my MOH is actually hosting the shower for me, just have been helping her find a venue since she has been having kind of a hard time

Do you belong to a church? See if they will allow you to use their fellowship hall. If you don't like that idea, contact your local Elk's Lodge.

The one my mom is hosting will be at the hotel where she works. No fee since she works there and a big kitchen to help make food.

Not sure about the one FMIL and her neighbor are hosting.

Do you or anyone you know live in a condo? They have party rooms you can use.

FSIL threw us a couples Christmas shower. Everyone gave us ornaments and Christmas decor.

My SIL and cousin are throwing my family shower up in Canada where all my family is at my cousins house.

My 2 MOHs and bridesmaids are throwing me a shower in my hometown. This will be all our local friends. Not sure of the venue yet but I think it's going to be country theme because line dancing is my all time favorite.

Hey girl!! I'm not having one cause we had a engagement party. I'm just having a bachelorette party. Try maybe maggianos or a restaurant that does party events like that.

Did you ever find your venue? Just curious what you decided on..

What about the park district? My cousins all live on the south side and use the park districts to rent rooms for all their parties

@Dez-Yeah, my MOH used to work at a hotel in Portage, IN so she got a serious discount, so we're going with that
