I don't really understand what you're asking. We got my bridal set by purchasing it from a jeweler.

I was thinking about the engagement ring but not at all about the wedding band. The question is whether to buy a set right away or to try to pick up these two rings among themselves. Even if they will be from different manufacturers.

Five months before the wedding we went back to my engagement ring jeweler to get a matching band. They had to special order it because I needed a small size, and they messed up the order so we almost ended up getting it late. Luckily it came in a few weeks early just in time for the wedding.

My fiance got my engagement ring from Kay Jewelers. It wasn't a set but because of the shape of my e-ring, I'm opting to get an enhancer, which I already picked out. I made sure we went into the store to see which enhancer would fit well.

I have a solitaire diamond engagement ring so my band didn’t have to be purchased as a set. My band is full diamonds around it. There are many jewelers that will do separate ring purchases! Zales has rings and then bands to go with them that can be purchased at a later date

I just got mine at a local jewelry place! My husband and I picked out my engagement ring together... I was really particular with both rings, because I’m not a jewelry person at all so I knew I wouldn’t wear rings that were too elaborate or anything. I just wanted a simple solitaire engagement ring and a plain white gold band for my wedding ring. So we actually had my ring custom made at the jewelers and made sure to pick a setting for the engagement ring that would pair nicely with a plain white gold wedding band this is my set

Mine came as a set. The band fits together with the engagement ring. The online jeweler my husband originally for them from made them super poorly so we had to take them to a local jeweler and have the band completely remade and the stones reset in the engagement ring. I do love that they compliment each other though! I would just be cautious ordering online 😉.

I didn’t get the matching band for my e-ring, I picked a band off Etsy.

I used to work in a jewelry store. It doesn’t really matter if you get a set or not. You don’t need to stress over it by any means. There’s always something out there that will look great with your engagement ring! You don’t have to have identical rings, either, unless that’s what you really want.
The only time I would say that a set is super important is if the engagement ring has a very unique shape and you want a band to fit into it (think the ones that are interlocking) without ordering a custom piece. Most rings of that style are sold in sets anyway, though.
Beyond that, it’s really just a matter of preference. You’ll have a wider selection of engagement rings to choose from if you opt not to go with a set. Oh! Also, if you like solitaires, keep in in mind that basically any type of band or enhancer will look great with that classic style. =)

My FH bought my E-Ring from our jeweler. It is dated back to the 1930’s So FH had our jeweler custom make a band that matches perfectly as well as the small details that were done by hand on the sides. He had both of them purchased and insured before he ever proposed. I am absolutely in love with them!!
