Bridal Party Hair: All same or different?

I am paying for all 6 of my girls to get their hair done too and I am wondering the same thing. All of my girls have long hair except one is super short and one's hair is super curly/kinky/messy. I am thinking to have them be opposite of mine. If they want up, they can have up, but if they want down, it has to be to the side or something. I don't want their hair to look better than mine! Selfish? Nah.

I told them whatever they want...however, I don't want them to have the same hairstyle as me. I'm having mine to the size with curls.

I told them to do whatever they wanted. MIL called me the day of my wedding while she and SIL were at the salon to ask what SIL should do with her hair. I was like, whatever she wants? If I cared I would have said something more than 3 hours before my wedding..

I wouldn't ask to specify anything more than up or down if I were you. But I can't really talk, as I am not paying for, or requesting my BMs to pay to get their hair professionally done. Plus one of my BMs has a pixie cut, so an updo wouldn't be possible.

Hire a talented hairdresser who can do any style on any type of hair

I think it is really outdated to have all your BM wear the same updo. I am requesting my girls have either an updo or half up/down look. PS. I am paying for the cost of the bridal party hair.

If you require a style , you pay for it.

Since, you're already paying for it, its really up to you. Personally, I WANTED my bridesmaids to look different, cause I know them from all different walks of my life and they ARE all different, so even if I did pay for their hair/makeup I'd say they can do their hair however. (I told them I didn't care if they did their hair/makeup their selves)

Anyways, it is up to YOU the bride, do you want your bridesmaids to have all the same hairstyle or do you want them to show their unique personalities (a little).

I'm letting them do what the want but it all depends on how they want to wear their dress. The dress is a convertible dress so wearing strapless dress will probably look nice with a nice curl style but worn down. They can decide lol!

I said I'd like it down, but they can style it however they want!

When not comes to my BM I am only "controlling" 3 things. The dress, Netural coloured make up for anything above the waist (they can have their toes any color they want), and shoes- silver or white and flats or short heal. Otherwise they can do their hair how the want, they can add a belt to the dress, they can have the straps anyway they want or without. I hope I am not to hard and am letting them have most freedom.

Tell them to do whatever hairstyle they want like if they all have short hair like my girls tell them to choose a style thats down, that they like cause it would look weird if they all have the same hairstlye.

I told my girls they can do it how they want. The only condition is them going to the salon with me and U.S. Doing it together. I'm also paying for it for them also. They each have different types of hair so one thing might not work for all of them. I always want them to be comfortable throughout the day too.

Comfort level shows on your face. Let them choose and they'll look happier in photos. Plus each girl will know which styles look best on them. If you want to have them discuss it beforehand to ensure one doesn't do an elaborate Updo while the other girls do wavy side ponies and braids then let them hash it out on their own, one less thing on the to do list.
