Bridal bouquet price

I am not having a bridal party so I will only need to get brides bouquet and a few boutineers. How much did your flowers cost? Also did you purchase an extra "throw away" bouquet? I'm thinking about visiting the florist shop at my local Albertsons store but want an idea of how much I am going to...

Wow- well- I'm glad someone posted this- I've been considering what I wanted to do with mine- because I definitely WANT some sort of flowers- but holy hell on highwater- 100-350 for a bouquet is totally out of my budget- balls.

Looks like I have to figure this one out for DIY.

Jo, try Morningside Greenhouse or Anna Rose; both are really close and they are both very reasonable.

@Jo and Celia, Anna Rose is pretty expensive. Their original quote for me was $3500. They also told me that they had a $3000 minimum. I think they are willing to waive it, but not matter what I took away, I couldn't get anything below $2800 with them. And that was for bare bones flowers.

@JoRocka, if you want to use my florist, let me know! I'm happy to give her your contact information. She works out of her home so her prices are a lot less. I was nervous about that at first, but I've been to two weddings that she's done and both were really beautiful!!

My bridal bouquet was $130 and the BMs Bouquets were $100. i also go a free throw bouquet that they always do at the florist that i used. my flowers were so beautiful, i really loved them. but i always get flower envy lol so there are so many styles that i look at after and go "ohhh thats so pretty i wish mine was like that" but then i think about how much i payed and looking at the other ones they were probably at least $100 plus compared to what i payed.

I am going with a grocery store for my flowers. I have three local grocery store: Safeway, Albertsons, and Fred Meyer (Kroger) but Fred Meyers always has the highest quality. All of the flowers I've purchased at Albertsons tend to wilt so quickly but maybe your store is better. I am paying about $30 for my bouquet (it will primarily be hydrangeas with some other fillers). Fred Meyers is charging me the cost of the flowers plus 1.6% for the arranging fee. I was originally planning on putting together my own flowers but after seeing the quote ($0.48 to arrange my bouquet) it wasn't worth the hassle. I am meeting with the florist 2 weeks before my wedding and we are ordering the flowers I want. As far as the service, they have been very helpful in answering all my questions and I feel like I'm being treated just as good as I would be by a regular florist without spending all the extra money.

My SIL did a candy bouquet toss which I thought was a really neat idea and everyone seemed to want it more than the traditional flowers.

Mine is going to be $200 and will have succulents, peach spray roses, berries, dahlias, queen anne's lace, and seeded eucalyptus. I'm not going to do a bouquet toss (besides never liking it, I'm really only going to have 3 or 4 single girls there). We're going to do the shoe game instead.

I might not do boutonnieres, but if I do I'll be using burlap flowers and each guys will have a lego character of his favorite super hero.

LaNovia, what are your colors? I went with red and stuck with rose, they were really affordable. I went through my local grocery store floral. I did 1 white rose package and 1 red rose package for about $350 total. My suggestion would be to go with a color, not a particular flower. Ask the florist to use in-season flowers which are cheaper. If you pick orchids, they might not be inseason and be very expensive because of that fact. If you pick "pink" they will make it with whatever pink is available.

4 [6 stem white rose bouquets for Bms]

    10 [1 rose white boutonnieres for greeters/readers/groomsmen]

2 [1 rose red corsages for moms]

    4 [1 rose red bouts for dads/grandmas]

1 [12 stem red rose bouquet for me]

My flowers are from Publix (another grocery store). We are not getting a throw-away bouquet because the leftover flowers are already going in the trash anyway.

My original quote for a bridal bouquet was $110 for a basketball-sized bouquet with roses, gerbera daisies, carnations, baby's breath, delphinium, and hydrangea with the ribbon wrap. I asked her to make a smaller bouquet, and it dropped the price to $84. We're getting 1 bird of paradise bout for $10, and 8 carnation w/ delphinium bouts for $5 each.

Thanks for the tips and advice. I am going to give my local grocery a try! I really don't (I should say can't) want to spend too much on flowers. I am not picky so I will check with the florist on what flowers are in season and stick to my wedding colors. :-)

This is going to depend on your flowers and your location. My bouquet was $70 for hydrangeas and roses, which is on the low end i think.

I'm in NYC area but since my reception is in Westchester we are going with a florist closer to Hudson Valley.

$120 for my bouquet of peonies, garden roses, and roses, $65 for my BMs, $12 for bouts and $30 for corsages. No way am I paying for a throw away bouquet.
