Breakfast for Dinner... Ideas?

Marissa, on August 27, 2019 at 5:50 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8
My SO and I sat down and talked about potential dinner options. We both hated the idea of the normal chicken or pork but we aren't really in the financial place to afford something ridiculous like steaks. He attended a wedding once where they had dinner and we both loved the idea, so we're pretty set on it. We love cooking breakfast together! We're just a little stuck on what specifically to serve or suggest that won't break the budget but still feels like a full plated meal. Appetizers, sides, protein, etc. What are your ideas?

I love love breakfast. So that would be a fun idea. Maybe think about what people have at brunch weddings - eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, etc.

I would do some kind of stations; an omelette station, waffle bar, chicken and waffles, breakfast sandwiches, quiches...

Waffle bar with lots of toppings (fruit, whipped cream, syrup) bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, an omelet station, fruit
You could do crepes or French toast.

I LOVE breakfast for dinner!! I think I read about someone else doing this a few months ago. I would agree with PPs. Have some kind of eggs, like an omelette station, and waffles and fresh fruit and muffins! Yum!! And don't forget the mimosas!!

You could also do quiches, crepes, smoked salmon or kippers for appetizers

Croque monsieur bites, avocado toast points, fruit kabobs as passed apps.

Biscuits and gravy are pretty low cost items.

    Bloody Mary bar.

I would do chicken & waffles, maybe a parfait bar for yogurts & fruits. I would stay away from eggs unless you're going to have a flat top and cook on site. Eggs don’t sit well. I would also consider a mimosa bar! & to get fully in theme a donut wedding cake!

I would LOVE to do this. I can eat breakfast for all meals.

Apps; mini quiche (or full quiche cut into slices), fruit, muffins, scones, biscotti, finger sandwhiches (think high tea).

Dinner- omelettes, chicken and waffles, pancakes, bacon, hashbrowns, breakfast potatoes.
