Bra or duct tape???

Nicole, on June 2, 2017 at 1:52 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 35

Hello all, so I'm getting my dress made by a lady I know personally, but in gold. Anywho, I am a really busty woman and as you can see from the style of dress I must be careful. Does anyone know where I can find a speciality bra that goes up to K? Or should I stick to duct tape.

Duct tape sounds so painful, be nice to your breasts! What does the back of the dress look like, how does the back of the bra need to be structured?

I've attached the picture. Honestly, I do not want to wear duct tape, especially since my wedding is in June.

OMG, you literally made me spit coffee into the keyboard.

Gorgeous dress; I"d ask your seamstress what she recommends or go to one of those specialty bra shops.

No duct tape please. It might work, but philosophically...ouch-a-rama!

I hope you're doing that little shruggy thing on top? It's really so, so pretty!

LMAO... I laughed out loud when I read the title. Please dont use duct tape...that hurt just reading. They do have bras specially made for dresses like these or cups only that fit into the dress.

Have you tried Soma or another specialty store for larger bra sizes? Stick to getting a bra, or even see if she can add cups in the dress!

I would use tape. A bra might be visible with that deep V.

Lol! The lady did mention using cups from an old bra and sewing them in, but I don't think they'll hold.

Since you're having the dress made, see what your seamstress can "build" in to the dress structure.

There's athletic tape you can purchase on amazon - works just as well as duct tape but it designed to be applied and removed to the skin (and stay on during sweaty activities!). That's what I used for my wedding, and I've been obsessed with it ever since now that we are in summer dress weather.

Could you imagine at the end of the night telling your FS "Hey help me get this duct tape off of my boobs!"

    Sexy.

Just curious, how do you apply the duct tape? I'm trying to figure it out and can't lol.

@Jaime-Leigh search on youtube. I found instructional videos that were able to give me some cleavage with only tape.

For that dress? Not going to happen. I wear a U.K. 36K bra, and the biggest strapless I could get was a 36I, and it has some heavy duty boning. Strapless AND plunging? Not going to happen at that size bust, sorry.

I do recommend medical tape over duct tape though. You'll do serious skin damage there with duct tape.

@APD lol, I already gave him the heads up that IF I do tape I need help. I will do some research into the tape types many mentioned. Wish me luck!!! Lol!

Do you plan on having FH carry WD-40? Because that's the only way you're going to get duct tape off skin.

I think you can have bra-like cups sewn into your dress. I don't think you will be able to wear a bra because of the back.

I am doing tape. My boobs are HUGE and a bra/ cups are just not possible with my dress. There is a bridal shop nearby that did it for my fitting and i LOVED it. Came off super easy with oil in less than a minute.

ETA: The tape had my breast more perky than ANY bra ever has lol.

Duct tape will come off easily with soap and water or olive oil.
