BR - Faint line on pregnancy test - NEW UPDATE on page 2

dragonfly726, on August 3, 2012 at 1:10 PM Posted in Married Life 1 48

DH and I have been TTC since right after the wedding last October. Aunt Flo was due to arrive sometime between Wednesday and today (based off of my online cycle tracker, 26 days is the longest cycle I've had since I started tracking, and my average was between 24-25). I took a pregnancy test this morning around 6:30, and not sure what to think about it. At first we thought it was for sure a neg, but when I looked closer there was a really really really faint almost undetectable second line. Then after I used the restroom later, there was a little bit of pink when I wiped, but not much at all, and since then nothing. This is driving me crazy! I'm not sure whether that second line was REALLY a "second line" or if I can just see where it should have been.

Then just now while Dh was home on lunch, we tested again and the line is a little darker than the first one, but still very faint.

Here are some pics, just wondering if any of you have any advice Smiley smile

The lines are actually a smidge darker in person than they are in the pics

I can see the second line very faintly. I would say test again in the morning. My home pregnancy tests were always very faint and now I have 2 beautiful daughters. Good luck!

Try getting a digital test where it say pregnant not pregnant. I took 6 of those tests with lines and each one was very faint.

Mine were faint too when I tested and yeap I was pregnant. I would wait also and test again tomorrow and if no Aunt Flo still, schedule an appt. to find out for sure. Are you taking prenatal vitamins just in case?

Thanks ladies! I plan on testing again tomorrow, I just wanted to make sure I'm not going crazy to get my hopes up.

@Sharen, I am taking prenatals, my doc prescribed them when I went for my last exam and let her know we were going to be TTC.

I can see the second line. I don't know so much about home pregnancy tests - but I am a lab technologist and in a hospital lab we call that positive. Good luck with the retest!

I just got off the phone with first response (they have a help line phone # on their box) and after asking me a slew of questions, she confirmed the result as a positive!!!!

I did that with my oldest son but could not get lab work done till I was exaclty 6 weeks late. When you test always use morning urine as it has the highest HCG levels, so test in the morning and let us know. Sending baby dust your way!

Awesome! Congratulations! I also forgot to mention in my previous post that after I let the tests sit for a couple of hours my "faint line" was no longer faint at all.

Congrats!!!!!!!!!! You can get a FALSE negative.. where you don't see a line and you are in fact pregnant... but you cannot get a FALSE positive. You wont see even the faintest of lines if you do not have the HCG hormone. SO many congrats! *Cheers to a happy and healhy pregnancy* A May baby?! Awesome!!!

Yes if you see 2 lines no matter how faint its a positive. some times that second line doesn't get real dark like the first one does....congrats
