Bouquet Toss for a small wedding?

I think bouquet tosses are awkward no matter how many guests you have.

Some people do an alternative like give the bouquet to the couple who has been married longest or something

We invited 285 people and we will be skipping it. Not a fan.

I agree with this, but also, why would your in-laws even have an opinion about this?? This seems like a very easy thing to eliminate from your reception (no reasonable person will actually miss it). Just change the subject if they bring it up again.

I agree with PPs. I'm not doing a bouquet toss for my 180 guests because I've always disliked participating in them, myself. I think they can survive without the bouquet toss. I love the idea of giving a bouquet to the couple that's been together longest. That's a lot more elegant and sweet.
