I'm really torn on if I should have both my parents walk me down the aisle. My dad I haven't always had the best relationship. It's gotten better but my mom is amazing and has always been there for me, still to this day. She is paying for 95% of the wedding. My dad is helping a little bit which we were all shocked about. I wouldn't tell my dad he couldn't since I'm his only daughter. But I'm torn if I have my mom walk me down too or if I have her walk down the aisle with my daughter. If she doesn't walk my daughter my grandmother who is my best friend will do it. Is it weird to have both parents walk me down the aisle? Will it look like too much?

It's YOUR wedding! do what makes YOU the happiest so you have no regrets. I didn't have much of a relationship with my father. I see him once a year. he is going to be at the wedding and my step sister will actually be a junior bridesmaid, but my mother/best friend will be walking me down the isle, not my father. I have had that planned since before I even met my fiancé. do what is going to make you happiest on your day and screw what anyone else is going to think. chances are, they'd never have the guts to actually say something anyway!

I think it's a wonderful idea to have both your parents walk you down the isle! Don't think its too much at all. It's becoming more and more popular. I plan to for sure! It's a special moment in your life and being close with your mom like that --it would mean the world to her.

I am in a similar situation and have had ups & downs with my dad. I still love him but am significantly closer to my mother. it's important to me to have both.

I would love that! If I could have chosen that option I would have in a heartbeat. I'll most likely be walking my own self down the aisle lol but go for it! I think it's really sweet Smiley smile

Both of my parents walked me down the aisle. They have been divorced for over 20 years, but I would have it any other way.

We are Jewish and both of us had both parents walk us down. It's the norm in our families.
