Yes, it's too far off. And many people change plans. Ask for first refusal for when bookings open for your date.

Most places won't let you book that far out. Mine it had to be 13 months or less which was frustrating since they fill up fast in this area. Luckily still had the date available when I called again! Could they do a "soft hold" for you so they know someone is interested on your day?

That's the issue we faced using public larks we had to wait till the week before the new urea for some vut jan3rd for most. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HARD IT IS TO DO ANYTHING WITH OUR A VENUE?

I can’t speak for venues which I know book farther out than other vendors. But as a musician I booked somebody two years out and it was a huge mistake bc their plans changed so many times I couldn’t get anything nailed down and then they stopped communicating with me. I booked my venue 18 months out and that was still early for them.
