Booked venue closing!

I got an email from the venue we had picked letting me know they couldn't host my wedding. They are closing the venue. We already paid the deposit for the day in advance. I know my wedding is far away (sept.2020) but I'm so upset about this happening it was the first place I toured and picked. I kept imagining our big day here even way befor we were engaged. Now I'm nervous and worried no other place will have my day open or will be able to do both wedding and reception in the same place. Sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this.

    You will find another vendor open for your date. Maybe one you love more.

    Were you able to get your deposit back?


    do not fret, you will find another place youll love that will do both wedding and reception in the same place. a lot of venues do that now

    Can you get your deposit back since they are the ones closing? At least they are letting you know now. You should have some time to still find a new venue. It definitely sucks, but get that money back and keep pushing through.

    You’ll find another place I toured several venues and thought two other ones were the one and then I toured my venue that I chose and this was the actual one. You might have thought it was the one but you never know you might find something better.

    This happened to us as well. It isn't fun but we found a place that was even better than that venue. It will work out in the end. Just put in hard work and research, the venue we found was so random but amazing!

    I contacted the person in charge of the refunds. They said they'd mail me a refund. I will be checking my mail the next few days.

    I'm sorry to hear that. The good thing is you have time to look at other venues and I'm sure they will have openings. I would have at least 2-3 places on your list so you can do some comparing and research.
