BMs: flats or sandals for beach wedding

Laura, on November 1, 2013 at 4:34 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

I can't decide if the BMs should wear flats or sandals for our beach ceremony. I am def wearing wedges so I dont look ridiculous by DH so everyone is wearing shoes. I'm thinking t-strap sandals are more beachy but that they may kick up sand. What do you think? Any beach ladies that can tell me what they did?

Sandals, hun. You run the risk of filling your shoes with sand.

Sandals, but if they are keeping them on during the ceremony, you may want some kind of a backstrap so they don't flap around so much and kick up sand. My girls are wearing flip flops, but they are taking them off on the beach. I' m only 2 inches shorter than FH, so height difference is not an issue for me.

I just turned some flippies into sparkly, cutesy flippies so they looked nice.

I actually bought wedge flippies for myself (I'm not sure if that's what you were referring to when you said you have wedges for yourself), and I attached those too.

Any kind of shoes are going to flip up sand. Walking in sand is a PITA with shoes on.

I like sandles better. Otherwise the sand will fill inside the flats

I think sandles too. Something where the sand can fall out and not fill up.

Maybe not these but something like this...where it wraps around the ankle so it won't flip up.

Sandals for the reasons mentioned above. Sand in shoes is not fun.

I'm wearing barefoot sandals and my custom I" Do" Flip flops. Purchased them both on Etsy.
