I’ve shared my ring before, but I can’t remember if I ever shared the meaning behind it.

My grandfather passed away when my mom was little. My grandmother’s ring was passed down to me for when I would one day get married. My fiancé knew about this and secured the ring from my parents without me knowing. My mom is so important to me, and the marriage this ring represents is why she is here so it means a lot to me. ❤️

My fh got down on one knee right before Christmas dinner at his moms in front of his family. The ring he gave me belonged to his late grandmother, she was the matriarch of the family and held the whole family together. There were lots of tears from all involved. Getting that ring meant more than just marrying my fh, but acceptance by the whole family knowing his mother gave him the ring to give to me.

Secondly, I love this story😂 My family took a trip to Nashville for my sisters 21st..everyone convinced me that my FH was going to pop the question while we were there (we had already picked a ring several months before). Well my best friend even texted me asking if I had got my nails done for this trip (knowing I’m a nurse and never do my nails unless it’s a special occasion). I immediately went and got them done because I knew that was her hint. Sad situation but it didn’t happen and I was so bummed!! Even my family was expecting it but he got scared. Few weeks later, it happened on a random Wednesday and he didn’t tell anyone that time😂

also, Nashville has the BEST fireworks! We try to go every year
