Call around to local shops in your area or within driving distance to see what they carry before you go in.


Just browsing on Google, in Arizona you can go to David’s, Strut’s Salon and Wedding Belles Salon in Chandler, Bridal Boutique of Arizona in Phoenix.

Mayas Palace in Tucson has a couple I believe. I’d definitely give them a call.

Cocomelody occasionally does trunk shows outside of Cali! I got my black dress from them (for well under budget too!)

You could also check out shops that sell prom dresses. They may have more options for black dresses and they'd likely be less expensive since they aren't marketed as "wedding" dresses (even though they're equally as formal).

I would say browse the designers that you like online, and either see where you can find a dress in proximity to you in Tucson, or by neighboring state.

OR

Some larger stores participate in an "exchange program" meaning, if you request a dress to try on, they will exchange one of their stock pieces with a store that has the dress you want to try on.

OR

Visit your local Quinceñera dress stores and tailors. These folks have talent to cater to the divas, and those dresses are exquisite! I would say (and I know it sounds unconventional), maybe visit some dress shops in your area or state to narrow down what shape of dress that you want, and some features, and then go to the tailor. Your dress will certainly be one of a kind that way. If you do decide on the custom route, it may be worth visiting the garment district in Los Angeles to choose your fabric directly.

Black wedding dresses make you mysterious & dignified & graceful, but compared with a white wedding dress, I prefer the latter, maybe I go out of date.
