Black Bridesmaids Dresses? Taboo or too cute?

I love it! So cute. Really makes it look elegant. But not a huge fan of the short black dresses.

My one daughter's 10 BM's will be in long black dresses. They are really cute! The groom and his party will be in black tuxes. Her gown is white and flowers are pink. I's also wearing a black long gown with Ivory cowl neck. It will be a beautiful wedding!!

I was in a wedding with black bridesmaid dresses and it was very classy. I felt it made the bride and the flowers pop. Plus, it was during a snow fall, so we had pink pashminas for pictures and they turned out beautiful.

I agree with the commenters saying the second photo looks better, and more formal. My colors are red, black, and white. I am having my bridesmaids wear red but I'm asking all close family to wear black, to have the high contrast and formal look in all of the pictures.

I love it! Especially if it fits in culturally. I'm from Florida where black is a death wish or a walking heatstroke. I adore the formal look, it really makes you stand out, and it looks so clean! Very elegant and very polished. I'm all for it!

My bridesmaids dresses are Black & with pockets! 😀 they were so excited!

My bridesmaids are wearing short black dresses. They are all different. I told them to pick any short black dress they liked. They all will have the same red belt/sash to unify them. I'm so excited and they look great! I say go for it!

I may be biased, since my wedding dress is black... but I love the look! I'm actually going to be in all black (FH will be as well) and all of our guests will be in all white!

I wouldn't choose them, but I think for a formal wedding it's gorgeous. My BFF is having a winter wedding with a very formal and elegant theme and we are wearing the dress below. It will go so well with her vision.

I think black BM dresses work for a black or white tie setting. For a less formal event it just seems out of place.
