Black and white weddings

I went to an all white wedding a few years back and it was stunning! Not once did I think the brides were being Bridezillas by requiring a color be worn. It was their vision and I was happy to be apart of it. People get offended by the most ridiculous things these days. If they feel it's being pushy then they don't have to go

Nothing wrong with this ppl have theme weddings all the time which may require guest to wear certain attire. Go for it!

We're doing black, white, and red. For my previous wedding, I had several people ask me what they should wear or if I had a specific color scheme in mind. I see nothing wrong with including it in the invite.

Agree! The look of an all white wedding is very chic. And a black and white wedding will look equally chic. How is requesting a dress code for my multi thousand dollar day being a bridezilla? I don't understand that sentiment lol.

And telling everyone to wear black and white, if lots of women come in white formal gowns , how happy will everyone be?

I agree 100%. I don't think it's pushy if that's what you want them to wear. When people have all white parties, the guest wear all white. When people have costume parties, the guest wear costumes. it's the same thing. My wedding is black and white with pops of gold and it's on New Years Eve. I want everyone to wear something glitzy, glam, sequins etc. So I'm trying to figure out how to word that

Suggest it! Put it on the invite as the theme. But if guests don’t show up in only black and white don’t be a bridezilla

Just a little confused now. Do you want them to wear black and white? Or do you want black tie Or both? If you put black tie they can show up in any color gown, it may not be black.

Black tie refers to a level of formality of the outfit but not at all the color! I go to black tie events fairly frequently and rarely wear black, but rather just formal floor length gowns in a variety of colors. So if you’re hoping to get black or white attire, saying “black tie” will not get that point across— you’ll get people in formal wear, but, any color of their choosing. If you want black or white attire that specifically is what you need to specify.

We have different opinions and that's okay. But yes, if OP has an all white or all black dress code for her wedding, I would expect everyone to adhere to it. Don't like it? Don't go.

Hi my friend did all white and it turned out beautiful. People who care will participate. It’s all in how you present it. And a lil bridezilla is expected lol . It’s your day. Plus people love theme parties in general so a theme wedding even more excited. It’s your day. Have at ot😊🎉🎉🎉
