I made some in Microsoft Word and printed on my printer at school.
You could print them at an office store or your local library for cheap too.
Honestly they’re not super important Unless you’re having a religious or complicated ceremony. And even then they don’t have to be fancy not everyone will even grab one. We threw a lot away.

Hi I don’t think programs are a NEED, but I still wanted them for cheap! I pulled a template off of Google and put my own text boxes in (no linings though) with all of the fonts and colorings that I wanted. I used four pages — back and front — and double sided print — so when it printed it was just a bi fold/one fold program! First two pages: the inside folds, the last two pages: the front and back page. It is showing blurry here on wedding wire but my end result was gorgeous, simple, and budget friendly.Best Way to DIY Wedding Programs? 1

Honestly the last wedding I went to everyone left them on their chairs after the ceremony. I remember this cause they started blowing around and I was picking them up. Do you really feel it’s worth it??

Unless you are having a complicated ceremony where guests must follow along, repeat lines, etc, just skip them.

I bought a $10 template from Etsy and printed them at home.

I feel like they’re only necessary if it’s going to be bilingual or if you’re out doors and people can use the program for shade or as a fan or if it’s like a super religious type of ceremony where a lot of people might not know what’s going on. And they are so inexpensive to make I literally just found a free template online and printed it out on my own printer

I always recommend programs if you're having a religious ceremony and if you know that you'll have guests in attendance who don't practice the same religion as you. Because we had a Jewish wedding, it was important for us to have programs so that our non-Jewish guests could follow along. One time I attended a colleague's Christian wedding and because they didn't have programs, I had no clue what was going on and I was completely lost! My opinion is that you should have programs if you're having a religious ceremony so that all guests can follow along. Programs can be done very cheaply. For example, you can buy a template on Etsy for $10 and have them printed at your local Staples or Office Depot.

However, if you're not having a religious ceremony, then programs can absolutely be skipped!

I agree with PP above me. For religious ceremonies, programs are a MUST. For non-religious ceremonies, SKIP them!

I think programs are unnecessary, but if you really want them then you can always do them on Microsoft Word

I know! This is my concern. I think I am the only person who takes them home 😅. Thank you. I won't bother.

This is a great idea. I was looking into that. What paper did you use to print them at home?

I purchased pearl shimmer cardstock from Hobby Lobby when they had their paper products on sale for 50% off.

Yes. I printed them myself on my home printer. I didn’t get the thickest cardstock because it doesn’t easily feed through the printer

If youre gonna do programs, definitely try to do them for free on a computer program because a lot of people leave these on the chair after the ceremony. I personally did them for mine because I knew my close family would want to keep them but didnt spend a lot
