Best sites for wedding invitations?

Kimberly, on June 15, 2018 at 4:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 17

We're starting to look for wedding invitations and the amount of websites is overwhelming. Can anyone give any really good recommendations or really bad sites to stay away from? Thank you!

I got mine from vistaprint.com, I've also heard minted.com is really good, too.

I used shutterfly for save the dates. They were a little expensive but they always have "% off" sales going on. For invites I couldn't find anything I liked online and I wanted to be able to see what the looked like in person. (Ordering that many proofs from so many different websites wasn't going to happen) We just went with a local business that does all sorts of stationary type printing. They had binders upon binders of invitation examples we were able to look through. It actually ended up being a lot of fun writing down ones we liked and what not. The down side is that I can't get them for cheaper (waiting for sales) since it is a store front type business. We will be paying about $200 for 100 invites.

Got ours on Zazzle. Loved ‘em. Consider paying for Zazzle Black $9.99/yr for unlimited shipping because it’s so nice not to pay shipping when you just need to reorder 1-2 things. We used for Save Dates, invites, thank you, menu, personalized coasters, etc.

Zazzle, VistaPrint, Shutterfly all have lots of sales. Create an account, design your stuff, sign up for their emails then when they announce sales order it! Sales are anywhere 15-60% off.

I ordered mine through Minted. They will arrive Tuesday, so I can't yet comment on the finished product. Between the free samples (which included all the different papers, envelopes, fonts, colors, etc), the online proof, and the quick turnaround once I approved the proof, I'm happy so far.

They weren't cheap, but I signed up for their e-blast so I got a 20% off coupon, and I also got a credit for using them for my wedding web site. I saved another 10% by putting the artist's signature on the back of the cards, and by cutting out all the "extras" that I initially "had to have" ... rounded corners, belly bands, matching address labels, envelope inserts, etc. That stuff adds up fast. My FH pointed out that most people will just throw them away anyway, so why spend so much? While I sighed at giving up on the lovely envelope liners, he's right, and it's not worth all that extra $.

I also used Vistaprint. I was on a budget and a paper that people will throw away was not something I was willing to spend a ton of money on! The paper they were on was pretty average but the design looked very pretty and I got a lot of compliments. I’d highly recommend them if you want to save a little cash.

Sorry to piggy bag on your post but I've seen basicinvite and I really like they're seal and send options, but I don't know how they come out or how happy people have been with them. So anyone have thoughts on basicinvite?

Minted.com has been so good to us. My save the dates and invitations were more than I could ever image. And the address printing is an added bonus.

I used Ann’s Bargain Bridal and paid a FRACTION of some of those other sites. My invitations were beautiful and I have received lots of compliments about them. I am spending lots of money on other stuff I feel are more important.

I used Walmart photo online! They were so much cheaper than vistaprint and Shutterfly, I couldn’t pass it up! (And yes- very cute and good options. Also, the cardstock was exactly like all the Shutterfly cards I’ve been ordering for years!) #walmartforthewin

Vistaprint is AMAZING. I did my save the dates and invitations through them it was half the price as any other website, they always have coupons, and they come with three envelopes. so if you ordered 90 invitations you’re automatically getting white envelopes.

Not only that but the picture quality wasn’t janky at all! Sidenote: I even did my very very picky boss’s business cards through Vistaprint—and they came out amazing and cost little to nothing-my boss was so impressed

We got our save the dates and wedding invitations from wedding paper divas (which is now part of shutterfly). I also heard of zazzle as being a good option as well as costco...
