Best cookware to register for?

Melody , on August 27, 2016 at 8:29 PM Posted in Planning 0 25

So FHs grandmother has informed us that she wants to get us some pots and pans for our gift. Shes wanting to spend between $300-400. Id love any recommendations for brands or material types. Ive only ever had cheap walmart non stick pans from college days so I don't really know anything about pans.

Oooh! I absolutely recommend these pans!!!!

    http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/zwilling-reg-motion-nonstick-hard-anodized-3-piece-fry-pan-set/1043230952?skuId=43230952&registryId=542743797&sopt=

We had them on our registry and they are AMAZING!!! Nothing sticks....NOTHING!

You can fry an egg with no butter, oil, or spray of any kind. It will slide right off.

I would do enameled cast iron: they'll last forever, and after you (finally!) get them seasoned properly, they'll essentially be nonstick without the dangers of Teflon.

We have stainless steel All-Clad frying pans (hoping to complete the set) and they are amazing. I've had good stainless steel pans before but I have never been able to get such a gorgeous sear like I can in the All-Clad.

For our non-stick, we really like Calphalon Classic Stainless Non-Stick. They work really well.

I just multiple cook wear seminars to work at sur la table! The best in the world right now are demeyers.

Although any pan with a copper core is really good as well.

For those saying Calphalon, do you have a particular line that you recommend? I was looking at the contemporary line, but like I said I really don't know anything about pans.

We got a Calphalon set as well- but I don't know the specific brand. DH is the primary cook in our house, so I went with his suggestion for the registry.

I have their cheapest brand that was bought for me, I think it's calphalon simple, and even they are amazing. The stainless steel set is my dream though. I forget what they're called.

I just got a calphalon pan and it is literally the best thing that ever happened to me. No matter what, my marriage is already a success because of that pan.

I have circulon and Le Crueset. You don't really need a lot of different pieces; a saute pan and large pot that share the same size lid, a little saucepan and maybe an omelette pan.

You can actually use the Le crueset for everything.

I'm not sure about price for a full set but I like Scanpan. Their most basic line is called "Evolution" and it's great!

I love my All Clad set. I have mostly stainless, plus a few nonstick I use for delicate items. I'm really hoping the Le Creuset dutch oven gets purchased off our registry.
