Beers to serve at a reception?

Brittany, on February 16, 2015 at 9:00 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

I will be bringing my own alcohol where we will be serving two types of beers. People have said Michelob Light is a good beer to serve. Any opinions about a second beer?

When we host parties, or gathering we usually serve one light beer, like Stella Artois or Trumer Pils, and one heavier beer, like an IPA.

Instead of michelob light, i would suggest one beer for beer afficianados (Stella for sure is a good choice, it is also a light beer, or maybe a belgian beer (Hoegaarden, Blue Moon, Allagash) and a mainstream beer (Corona, Heineken, Sam Adams) to cover the rest.

You know your crowd better than anyone else. Where I'm from Michelob Light is popular and an easy crowd pleaser... an overall safe choice.
